Chris Hinshaw is the man! Always admire your competitive spirit Jason combined with true humility. You and Gabd will crush the Hyrox!

I will be following this to see how you guys do with Hinshaw helping. Very interested to see how you guys perform on “short” training for zone 2 versus your typically GPP / BJJ. Just know, a ton of other people not commenting are also following and rooting for you to show up! Keep pushing Jason!

Athletes and coaches of this level and not a heart rate monitor in sight
@JasonKhalipaАй бұрын
Ya. I’ve never really used one. Guess I’m old school. But want to start using one a lot more.

@@JasonKhalipa ...the monitors with the chest strap are much more accurate than the monitors that take pulse from wrist. Pardon me if you already know that. Good luck.

Has hinshaw responded to him saying in the Seven podcast that the run swim and water temp wasn't an issue for crossfit athletes. Then a few days later slamming crossfit saying he can't believe they did that event
@marshalliizeАй бұрын
Who tf cares. Hinshaw is a couk who chases clout around the CF space. Also, it was an accident. Sad. But that’s sport.

In CrossFit, if you live like it never happened eventually you'll surround yourself with enough people who also think that way. Accountability, integrity, decency, and empathy are not staples with many of the people who claim to care so much about the health and well being of others.

Yes he did, Talking Elite Fitness, titled Where do we go from here? He said how bad he felt, that if he had gone into the water he would have known it was unsafe. He explained how CrossFit kept athletes and coaches in the dark about the event and how it was setup. His main criticism isn't necessarily the heat, but that there were insufficient buoys and lifeguards without proper equipment, The risk was high and they didn't raise the safety protocols to reflect that.

Jason and I were built 1:1 the same. Nothing ruins your capacity for long distance running like big quads. Sounds weird, but it's a fact.
@radoslavstoev4550Ай бұрын
Not sure about quads, but glutes and hammies for sure. I also started running with pretty big legs and my quads pretty much retained size, but my glutes and hamstrings became a lot smaller and currently I am trying to bring them back a bit.

I feel attacked... Ruining zone 2 training by getting bored and speeding up or letting my heart rate spike is my specialty lol

Am I the only one who can’t stand Hinshaw? This guy is just so irritating and I feel like he’s such a fraud.

He’s been nothing but helpful for me and I think he shares a ton of good knowledge here. Helpful info anyone can use.

I am curious of how HINSHAW trains athlete for the Exercise elements in between the running at HYROX, Rich Ryan went sub 59 probably way above ZONE 2
@erickm6079Ай бұрын
Hinshaw has trained top level athletes for years. They have all shown results to speak for his method actually working. What credentials do you carry? Couch potato.

I met Chris as a young guy of about 22 in the French Alps in 1986. I think he had the Kona swim record at that time. Also there was a certain Mark Allen
