I think so many people end up having such a hard time in their early years in religion... At least for me i remember the pastors mother pulling me out of sunday school to yell at me that i was going to burn in h e double hockey sticks because i liked harry potter and i asked questions about Buddha cause my dad was buddhist and didnt teach me about it unless i pressed him

Faith is controversial is because men use the word god in vain to coerce people into complying to their statist demands and saying anyone who doesnt comply worships the devil. Your relationship with your spirituality is a personal thing. The state had no business engaging

He can’t coerce yet his faith is rooted in coercion. Even today with OK now requiring the Bible be taught in school. “Sky daddy” - his words - is a story from a time without any science, journalism and the critical thinking he says is important. Indeed, MANY were killed for it. Any serious examination of that story, his truth, will find many many contradictions and untruths. That’s why he gets pushback.

And yet modern science and the very concepts equality and human moral significance are rooted in Christianity. Newton? Christian. He won't demand you to become Christian, nor would I. In that way, we won't coerce you. But I dare you to probe at the source of your beliefs. Nick speaks to this further into the question. Right and wrong comes from somewhere - and he recognizes that his somewhere is Christianity.

@@arjunheart5859 Do other non-Christian societies and cultures have those things? Spoiler: Yes, and existed before. Christianity does not have a monopoly on them. Probably because of phenomena like game theory.
