Hey, professor. I hope you're doing well! First of all, thanks for doing what you do: being a professor is such a honor. Second, I would like to personally thank you. I live in a country that doesn't have english as its main language(Brazil more precisely lol) and I fount it way easier and less sketchy to look for online lessons from english speakers. I now have the opportunity to watch this masterpiece of a class, thanks a lot

Hilariously, you taught me physics in grade 11. And now I've stumbled upon one of your videos as I review for my university physics final. Happy to see you're still teaching physics! I appreciate the clear explanation you've given in this video. Thanks, Mr. Clintberg!

Hello Mr. Clintberg, its one of your students, I am anonymously here to say you changed my life forever. Throughout my life its been ups and downs but when I attended your class I loved every moment of it, unfortunately life has passed on, and now I no longer have that leading passion to live. You helped me get through so much. From the bottom of my heart... Im going to commit suicide in a few moments but I wanted to let you know this before I go

Sir, i couldn't understand the bit in 5:12 when you got rid of the 1/2 why did you multiply both sides by 2, and the divided the two by 1/2? Please explain this bit and thank you for the video.
@BryanClintberg11 ай бұрын
I need to get "m" isolated, so that means moving everything else to the other side. We follow the two guiding ideas of "do the opposite mathematical operation" and "if you do it to one side, do it to the other." Since 1/2 really means I'm dividing by 2 on the right side, I did the opposite and multiplied by 2 (and did it to both sides).

Hey! I'm from Bangladesh and here teachers don't even show the real stuff ( eliminating by deciding etc ) they jst show us left to right - there it goes just turn it in the opposite way or something like that , which I feel isn't correct and doesn't work for manyyyyy of the other formulas ! Tysm for explaining the real stuff to us ! Helped me a lot . Probably solved one of prblm that I've been going through while doing physics and math 💗

Thanks for this explanation. But before you can do this kinetic energy test you first need to do a conservation of momentum analysis to determine the velocities after collision - correct? Conservation of momentum holds whether the collision is elastic or inelastic.
