I spent up to level 14 at the old Mosquito lake exclusively .. never caught a single common carp. Would be nice to catch one now

Couple of things, first off what you call smuck is in fact called duck weed here in the UK. Also someone mentioned no pike in here, well I was in the spot you started in stood near the boat messing about with my noob spinning rod. What I do and it is amazing for catch rates on river but not here is use a short line spin with the reel locked and flick the spinner around and just pull it through the water and i got a 1kg pike just messing about. That was my first pike. This trick works on the noob river if you stand on a swim and just hold the spinner in the current and watch all the fish suicide onto your spinner its amazing and i have been filling my net and wallet and beating my daily catch rate doing this. My in game name is Team GB happy hunting.

@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare I’ve caught quite a few pike and perch by spinning out into the weeds directly along the bank to your right on the first spot. Also float fishing right there off the dock, straight into the lake on the edge of the weeds. I’ve gotten my float rig snapped 2-3 times there so whatever it is is decent sized lol

I think that is a little too advanced for an early access game. With the expense it'll cost for them to put that in I doubt they'll even ever put something like that in. Would be nice, but I doubt it'll ever be implemented.

Thanks for the video mystic, Mosquito is kinda broken now and is definetly not for new players especially as the beginner lake.. even winding rivulet is better for new players now than Mosquito Lake, because of the low gear you need to fish there. One question tho, where can i buy those lures/baits you showed in the video one looking like a mouse and you said that there are also some shaped like different kind of animals etc..?

So for the "rodent" types of lures there is a small shop in Tunguska that is the only shop in the game that sells them. You can buy mouse and squirrel types of lures there. They are bloody expensive as hell though. Lots of different weights and sizes too. Just be warned you might not be happy spending that kind of money for a lure that's dead right now, and has been dead for a few months.

@@charliesheen111 Yeah they can be bought with silver. There are 7 different rodents, anything from different colored mice to chipmunks and squirrels. Each category has 3 difference sizes for a total of 24 different lures. they start at 118 silver and go all the way up to 150 silver.

i havent been trolling since the update but i stop trolling there cause even in the middle of the lake you would snagged alot more then anywhere else ... well enough time for me that made me think "i dont want to deal with this"

Honestly I've given up on pike and catfish there. I've caught a total of 1 cat which was only 1kg and that's it. It's almost like the devs redesigned the lake to just be prettier and bigger with no other attributes.

Usually I find that I hook the fish a little faster when I leave a little slack. Fish pulls hard enough to drag the weight and small amount of slack, then hits the rod which auto hooks it. Not 100% sure if it's a thing in the game but over the hundreds of hours I've played I've had overall better luck with it.

I haven’t played since the day before the update is there a “Christmas discount” for premium yet Also the new fish are exciting me to finally go back to mosquito

There really aren't any new fish at mosquito except the golden tench and catfish. No I doubt there will be a premium discount for Christmas. There recently was a sale a couple months ago for premium and I doubt the devs would be that generous so soon lol.

Maybe maybe not. A lot of times I think people get stuck on the negative comments and focus on those instead of the positive ones mentioned. Usually the updates aren't really welcomed in the game because we know something is going to get nerfed, something's price will get raised or something will get changed we don't want changed. The lake is beautiful, as I mentioned, but it's not going to go well for new players as the first lake they experience I fear. These are only my first impressions however. I do plan on doing another video on this lake when the fish settle and we get a true look at how they act and what we can catch here.

Hey, awesome video . It's good to know since i kinda started to play , i'm lvl 8 so far and after they changed mosquito lake ..i had no idea about the spots anymore . Now it's time to cry while i try to skill lvl groundbait and harvest to make some good baits as samolina ,corn porige etc

honestly you could just use wet bread and do fine. Most people don't really start leveling ground bait and bait harvesting till they get to kuori lake. I think the only thing you need to do right now is get a shovel and start collecting bait and allowing that to help skill your bait harvesting. Plus you could always watch the winding rivulet video I have up and use that as a guide to get to belaya river, then fish there till kuori lake opens up. No need to level bait harvesting or ground bait that way.
