1st- remove rim from motor. WAAAAAY easier. will prevent from damaging wires. use inner tube 4,10 x 3,50-4 instead of recomended size.

@user-ox6nc6ly7f check my other videos. My motor magnets are painted, and I use RTV to seal it. This would damage my Varnish and break the water seal on mine and many other scooters. I'd rather spend 5 dollars per 10 tire charges than do that. Two packs of zip tires might out live your scooters battery.

Just picked up a WKGT for $1000 that has been left outside for 6months. The battery, motors are good thank goodness. The person who sold it couldn't get air in the tire and lost one of the washers that separates the brake rotor from the frame, so it rubs really bad. $2.50 later i got this bad boy working. Scary-fun how fast they are!

You should make them finish their repair. But if you can't do that, does your brake lights work?

Black+white wire brake switch Orange+white wire brake light Orange+black wire lights Check your brake sensors at the brake as well by seeing if one they active the lights or the show on the display, you pressing the brakes. Good luck! Thanks for reaching out. It means a lot to help.

It's the controller, not the motor. When the scooter is on and there is resistance that's the controller. If you're lucky some wires came loose, like the hall sensor

You know the motor case on the other side which covers the hall sense part of the motor ... Do you know how to take it off ; as I have a Wolf warrior X and mine doesn't seem to want to come off , unscrewed everything , still no budging .

PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE 8 in. Three-Jaw Gear Puller is probably the safest way. I used to handheld crow bars on both sides at the same time to even out the pulling force. Be very very very carefull putting in back on because it sounds like the bearing will come loose from the cap and unless the motor is removed from the scooter it will be hard to get nice a even pressure putting it back together because of the wire. You can bend the bearing. Get longer screws that fit the motor first, so when putting back together, you can use those screws to slowly pull that bearing back into the cap.

Trying to figure out my ERROR 07 on my scooter. So far , it's not the main controller , nor the battery ; so I'm hoping it's just a Hall sensor replacement needed . You think I should try the crow bar option then?

Hi I have a question so I plugged my scooter in one day and it didn't turn red opend it up played around with a multi meter everything tested fine plugged it in again and it turned red only chatged halfway and went green so I went to put it back on charge wouldn't go red tested again the fuse had blown I've changed the fuse but it still won't charge I was riding the last time it had half battery and the wheel went flat I hit a bump it switched of like the whole battery had drained as when I click my lights the come on but instantly die out I have no clue what's wrong with it and why it won't charge my charger is outputting 64.7v when it should only be 64.2 would this matter?

The mantis is lithium ion 60v nominal but fully charged 67.2v. Your scooter is only charging to 80%. Either your batter is old and lost its ability to hold a charge, so drain fast and won't fully charge, or the BMS/wiring is bad. I personally would get that battery out of my house until I figure it out. When you hit a bump and experienced a cut off, tells me its wiring.

Would you know how to disable flashing when breaking? It’s so annoying.. is there a way to do it from the break cables or do I have to go into the scooter ?

If you do it from the brake cables you'll lose regen brakes. But if this relay is disconnected the flash will stop but regen will stay.

Hi this is Sam from Chicago I have a question that you may know the answer to it. From watching your video I understand that removing the battery out of the scooter and connecting charging port to it maybe extra One allows me to charge the battery outside of the scooter, Is that correct or am I wrong. The reason that I'm asking is I would like to purchase the scooter Kaboo mantis V-2 but I live on the 3rd floor in the apartment building so I cannot bring the scooter to the 3rd floor each time when I'm charging the battery So I thought if I remove the top cover from the deck and remove the battery and have the extra charging port I will be able to do that at home without dragging the whole scooter up with me And then just Connect Fully charged battery Back to the scooter. Do you think that whatever I'm thinking is possible or I'm totally wrong. I would really appreciate it if you give me some pointers. Thank you

It's possible. The battery is a pretty tight fit but you'll get good at getting it out. You'll also have to leave all of you deck screws out as well.

It's great that you have dismantled a motor and it gives me an idea of what I might encounter when or if I take mine apart, but please, find out the names of the parts of the motor, the axle, stator, windings, housing etc. it would make it so much better. Also always use the right sized tools for any sort of mechanical work, if you don't you are just asking for trouble. Yes, the axle nuts on the Mantis motors are a really oddball size.

my worst experience with kaabo mantis 10 pro dual in my life front motor stopped going full power for only 62miles on odo worst customer support they can't even fix it this company is scamming people don't buy these piece of crap my money is gone i bought junk stay alert people this scooter has alot of problems which many are not aware of

@@strangetimes5993 I can tell some easy way to Diagnose it. First have you switch the controllers? Use the rear controller to run the front motor. If it continues at half power, it's the motor. If it goes full power it the controller. But try changing the battery terminals too, so you'll know if there's a bad connection when drawing power from the battery.

The screen are very cheap. If the scooter functions fine. It's better to just replace them. But it will reset your settings.

@@herozero227 you have to remove the rubber mat and take the battery put look at the wire. There's is very very little space inside but enough that battery slide a bit and smashes the wires

@@sharwaran6796 that's a strange problem. I haven't experienced it. Is the scooter also lose its range? If not. Try disconnecting the display for awhile and allow it to reset itself.

Hello I also have one kaabo mantis and I wad happy with it until today … yesterday at night I noticed that the front motor was working a bit strange like sometimes was working sometimes not! I tried to take it out and take a look if something was lose or with bad conection and it was normal for my eyes ( I am not a professional ) I put everything together again and the front motor don’t work at all 😖 can you help me with that ?! Do you have any guess what it could be ?

I would try connecting that motor to the rear motor controller to eliminate any possible controller issues. Also make sure the blue green and yellow motor wires are insulated. Those little white caps break and the wires touch causing them not to work.

I learned it from experience. But the 3rd video I didn't upload cause i had a problem with the new motor. I found the motor was fine but signal wires were exposed a little and shorting each other. But it works fine. I just forgot to film the rest cause I'm new at this KZbin stuff.

Try disconnecting the battery on seeing if it will spin freely? If it does spin it might be the controller.

It’s a brake sensor error. Loosen the set screw under your brake lever a little then adjust (most likely loosen) the nut on the brake sensor cable. Not sure which side but one is probably too tight. Fixed my e09 error which had me out of commission for like a month plus while I tried to figure it out.

Still got the pmt efire 10’s on it and good god DAMN. If this were a human and a female, the mantis is a bitch that keeps it high and tight.

the thing you removed and painted is the stator with it´s coils and slotted layered, the magnets are fixed within in the hub. The coil windings are already insulated with a thin layer of laquer, otherwise they would just short out. The rust means water got it, through the bearing and/ or the Housing cover. You say it grinds, I guess the bearings have gone bad and have to much play which causes the stator to rub on the magnets or housing. Search for replacement bearings, either check if the installed bearings have markings for the size on it or search the internet for bearings for your model. Get some sealed industrial ones for replacement and watch tutorials how to install the bearings properly without damaging them in the process.

Thanks for that info. I thought it was bearings at first as well. But then I took it apart an noticed all the loose Debris inside the hub that slide out from between the magnets and then damaged the internals parts. But hell, maybe I'll try that. Have you had this problem? That's why you know?

all three wires are motor phases, it´s an brushless DC motor. On motors like this without hall sensors to check the position of the magnetic field, the motor will just switch the direction if two of three wires get switched, no matter which two. Thats why it won´t matter which two are switched.

No the Rear Motor is blue🔵 to 🟩green. Yellow🟡 to 🟨yellow. Green🟢to 🟦blue ●= motor wire ■= controller wire

I think I just blew a motor out I replaced the controller and it didn't fix the problem. How'd you know it was the motor? Mine just died suddenly without a sound mid ride and doesn't respond to the throttle.

@@AluzionTV mine is from fluidfreeride.com. it's been November 2019 over 2000 miles. But the motors broke within 3 months of each other. Then they gave a different style motor and it's been fine now.

@@BIGDeZeL6 always make sure your m10 bolt is tight on the front wheel suspension, my son's broke and sent him flying over the handlebars
