I remember seeing this on first broadcast. It was such an "oh wow" moment when Carol jaunted - the swirl of multicoloured lights and the musical tones were very memorable. And "the Lab" is an absolutely magnificent piece of design, with it's background droning sounds and lava-lamp effects, it is genuinely unearthly. I loved the ide aof TIM being a "biological computer" (quite a concept for the 1970's) and it made sense as he was telepathic. Philip Gilbert (as TIM) is one of the best and most enduring characters in the show.

Props for putting up the entire series.. it's amazing how much of UK culture is being lost on the new generations.. virtually gone from TV or streaming are these lost series... even semi popular Benny Hill....

This story is the show's absolute peak. It's a terrific story (and the blue and the green really DID affect the Roman Empire), the effects are good, it's quite chilling in parts and it brings the very welcome addition of Elzabeth Adare as Elizabeth M'Bondo. The guest star, Jason Kemp, is very good.

I loved this programme back in the day but somehow didn't realise how awful the acting was.

When I was 9, Elizabeht Adair was like an angel to my eyes! Absolutely stunning girl: I never knew humans were available that beautiful! Pity Roger Price wasn't a better writer and the budget was so laughable.

I remember being a kid in the 70`s and always thought kids looked much older.. looking at them, they still do compared to kids nowadays. Different times and stuff, kids seemed to have to grow up quicker back then. We could leave school and home at 15/16
