I watched this on PBS when I was a very little girl of about 8yo. Oh how I loved this show! I even wrote a corny love poem to/about England when I was about 13yo. I've been over there several times as an adult, I wish to retire there as well. This show had such a strong positive influence, Thank You all involved.

Slightly campy but enjoyable sci--fi series--I remember seeing this back in the 70s and early 80s. It was definitely aimed at teen viewers. 😄🇬🇧🇬🇧🚀🚀

What I found interesting is that their computer Tim went online and connected to the hospital's diagnostic computer! Blimey, I didn't think there was any such thing as 'online' in the 1970's!

This is really 1970s Kitche, a cult leader, renting a manor house, employing the services of a group of bikers to do his dirty work.

That scene when Stephen finishes his steak and chips and goes back toward the bed, looks a lot brighter. I think that has to do with the mind meld and link that John and Carol do with him to reveal what happened to Stephen the previous evening when he was put into post-hypnotic suggestion by Jedikiah at the end of episode 2( later shown in the first few minutes of episode 4.)

It has a weird feel to it similar to some other British Pscyfi shows of the 60's: Takes some getting used to.

I love the 2013 revival so I came here to see where it all started. This is 'unique' to say the very least. Only thing that would make the reboot better is if it included jaunting belts, and had magic laser knockout guns. And who killed kenny and made russel happen. I'm still to see john beat the s**t out of anyone yet, :( but I'm sure it would wreck his blissful 70s hair. Oh, and teleportation bubbles, that is all. XD

They are not allowed to partake in violence, they say it more than once in the first part of this episode, if I am not mistaken. :)

The one thing fans of the OG series didn't like about the remake was not keeping the mythology about being non-violent. I understand why - they wouldn't feel they could sell it today without fights, but this was the early 70s and we distrusted the establishment (those in power) and people were very very anti-war. Too bad we don't feel that way today. I loved this series when I saw it on Nickelodeon in the early 80s. I was just being born in 1973 during it's initial run.
