Thank you for being you! I can really relate to how you feel about producing new products, sometimes, especially as a new KZbinr finding ways to prevent burnout has been necessary for me! Every business is different and goes through different “seasons” so what you explained about your website makes sense, it’s just an unnecessary use of time for you, in your situation, because the type of products you sell do better sold in person. I wonder if you were to make a completely different style of content, than you currently do for your products, if you would see a difference in the online sales.

I don’t care what you produce. I think I could watch whatever you’re doing or chatting about all day. I don’t meant that to sound creepy, I just find you have good, positive energy. I totally get how weird speaking to a ‘script’ is but nobody watching you wants you to be a flustered bunny. It’s good, positive energy coming back at you. I’m being nosey. I see you have a little screen but can’t work out what you’re watching. Just wondered if you have a favourite programme, whether you have a seasonal playlist that gets you in the mood or just watching whatever is on. I know that might sound odd but it’s just another thing that you can tell us about. If you see you have one viewer from Luxembourg showing up in your analytics, it was me but I’m not on holiday. 😊 I somehow clicked on that in my VPN thingy, SurfShark. Been scratching my head wondering why I was get lots of ads with Indian people in, then noticed that. I’m not bothered but I was so confused 😂 Kind of eye opening as to what ads people get shown based on their “location”. 🥰

Thank you so much for your comment! I’m so happy you’re enjoying the videos 🥰 Yes I would definitely recommend the oven I use! To be fair I haven’t tried any other brands but I’ve been using this one for almost 4 years and I really like it! It’s the Sunbeam Mini Bake & Grill Compact Oven and I really like this specific one because a) it’s cheap so I can replace it easily if I have to (I think u can get it for $50-$70 in Australia and b) it has a 30 min timer that turns off the oven when it’s finished! That means that I don’t ever need to stress about forgetting it on, as it will turn off automatically after the 30 mins! It’s super tiny and compact and I have had to replace it a few times but it was my own fault as I transported it around in my car and it broke, otherwise I’ve never had any other issues 😅 I would definitely recommend as an alternative to using your big kitchen oven as it takes a lot less time to pre heat and it bakes evenly every time (some kitchen ovens don’t!) Hope that helps!! 🥰🥰 Let me know how you go!

You may have to consider paying for ad placements to generate more prospects. Etsy is always pressing this point to me for my shop, but I don’t want a flood of new work…it’s stressing for my hands, arms, etc. I prefer waiting for the orders to come in “organically”. It seems to work by seasons. Your products are probably facing a huge amount of competition, online and in-person…so, open other shops on other e-commerce sites, with paid advertising..

Web site still working, anyway with my experience on trying to sell my art on shachi art for few days that the social media and online sales kill your creativity and to upgrade your art to another level, even though I my self is very premature and do art to spend time in this person we called world but I can see things better then a blind person and most of us become blind due to social media, anyway I still have a dream to sell my art on social media but for that I want to take my art to next level first so atleast if I see it some place and got money I will buy it and even can compete if someone else want to buy it, anyway point is online want so much time ether it should be third party option for people who make things by there hands so they can focus on making and researching and improving their skills which social media drain out from our souls and make us weak and we may sell some things and make some money for few years and all that time we lost our creativity and art which makes people happy and satisfied. Anyway good luck it's a good thing what you doing and it will give new life to your creativity and make you shine again insha ALLAH

Working as a handmade artist is so hard and you definitely have to learn how to be a business owner as well to have longevity, otherwise you will take everything as a personal opinion on your art and its hard to keep motivated! This is really interesting! I think we’ve all kind of fallen into the lie that the internet is the future of everything. Big companies desperately want us to be isolated in our house and be dependent on them to deliver everything to our doors. But the reality is humans need that tactile and social element. I recently learned this when I went to the renfaire for the first time in years and was shocked to discover that most businesses there only sell to faires. They have no need nor use for an online store at all. I’m fascinated! Unfortunately what I do is primarily digital so I’ll have to try and figure out a way to dig into faires and conventions. I think that’s the best way to get more sales and serious followers! More than half of followers on social media are probably bots anyway which would explain the lack of sales, interaction, or commitment. Not to mention algorithms favoring the most random garbage in spite of peoples subscriptions. The dead internet theory is sounding more plausible all the time.

Hi Diana 🥰🥰🥰 I Absolutely feel what you're saying, markets also involve a significant amount of upfront investment so it's sometimes easier to do online, but maybe try it a few times to see if it works for you? I see so much difference between products that sell online Vs in person 😱 so you never know, your customer base might be at the in person events waiting for you!! Also, that's such a good point about postage! when I was posing a lot I got the business discount so I was able to offer slightly cheaper prices to my customers but now I have posted less so I don't have the discount anymore which impacts on how much or how often my customers buy online so its an annoying cycle 😰 Thank you so much for watching, so glad you enjoyed it lovely! definitely let me know what you would like to see more of now im testing out a few different kinds of videos!

That’s so interesting. Thank you. One thing that popped into my head, if you ever reopen your shop for say Christmas… put a limited amount of stock in a box in your home and shop, that never goes to market, and then keep your website open all the time. If you limit the amount of stock, you might create demand but also, having your shop open consistently might attract customers - and you’re not updating lots of stuff. Then post orders on a Tuesday when you’re over the busy weekend… That being said, I haven’t stocked anything in my Etsy for ages because I can’t be bothered… I don’t know what I’m talking about. 😂 What you are doing is right - follow the money. 🙌🏻❤

But to put it simply, my online sales have gone down a lot this year (same as most businesses) so my main source of income is markets right now! When I started in 2020 it was definitely the opposite so I try to be flexible and go where the sales take me! Right now that's markets and in person sales so that's what im focusing on! 🥰

Hi Vitoria, so glad you’re back! I enjoy this kind of content 😊 It’s so interesting how differently markets are run over there! In the UK if you blob (don’t turn up) to an event then the organisers often black list you… there’s no way you’d get a credit back for next time! I wish it was more forgiving over here but there’s always another jewellery seller waiting in the wings to take your spot 😢

Hi Lovely! Thank you so much for the support 🥰🥰🥰 Oh wow that's kind of crazy I had no idea! Ive only done markets here and most are rural so they are usually understanding at least! But definitely we don't have the competition like you are saying would be there in a bigger city! That's definitely not fair especially for outdoor events... so what do stallholders usually do if it rains or is too windy? Risk damaging their products? I would love to know more about how things are run in other parts or the world!

@@lazy_daisycreations the UK market is fierce! You need a very tough skin to trade over here! If you ( the stall holder) cancel due to weather or illness etc then you lose your money, it’s non refundable! If the organiser cancels an event due to the weather conditions most of them will refund you - unless it’s a really big event and then many of them have a “force majeure” clause: basically it’s not our fault and we’re keeping your money. There’s also loads of scammers who set up events on social media and take bookings for real venues but they don’t really have events on, they just take your money! But if you get a good event, with good organisers it can be AMAZING! But it’s a minefield 🤣

In answer to your question, yes please let us know what the fees are for each market. One question that popped into my mind, do you ever see online sales spike after a market day? As in are they taking your business card and ordering later? As always, fab video. Love the overview of previous month and next month’s plan, discussion about weather, and ideas for new designs that are season and celebration adjacent. One thing pops to mind, everyone seems to go crazy for autumnal things… how about some leaves in various shapes and colours? Or even wreath pendants and earrings? Sort of goes with your flora vibe. 🌿🍁🍂🌲🍀🌴🌱🌳❤

Hi lovely 👋 🥰 Will do!! A few people said they would like to know, so I will add in the next plan with me for sure 🫡 For me personally I don’t but only because I have to close my website when I go to markets 😓 I will explain better in next weeks video but that’s actually a big problem for my online sales… So glad you liked the video!! Always a bit worried about trying something new but I thought it might be interesting to see all the figures together 😁 Yes I love those suggestions!! 😍😍😍 thank you so much I will hopefully get started on them soon, I can wait to share ❤️ Thanks for the support 🥰🥰

Hi, nice to see and hear an Aussie. Omg nagambie lake has changed since I was a kid. All my school holidays were spent there, we had a caravan, wow I’m blown away none of that was there, all it was ,was a grassy hill and caravan park. 🇦🇺❤️

Love this kind of content thank you! I’m booking up for markets in the run up to Christmas in the UK and it’s my first year in business so I’m wondering how to cope with making enough stock if I (hopefully) have good sales. So any talk about how you manage stock would be super helpful! ❤

Hi there!! Thank you so much for your comment! So glad you liked the video!! That’s so exciting your first Holiday season in business 😍 Knowing how much stock to make and keep is such a tricky thing! I find that some things that are best sellers online don’t always sell in person and vice versa! I personally try to make at least 5 of each design if I can if I know they are a good seller but maybe just 3 might be good to start? Also depends if you have time in between your markets to make more if needed? If you have time then batch make as many as you can now and that way you are set… if you have time then make a little of each and see which ones are selling better and go from there! I think it’s really important too to make sure you have products in different price points at markets or some sort of deals, that helps a lot too! Good luck and hope they go well 🥰🥰

@@lazy_daisycreations Great suggestions thank you! ❤I'm so glad you're back making videos again...I know how time consuming it is as I started a channel but couldn't keep up with that as well as making so I admire anyone who can keep it going with the level of consistency the KZbin algo demands 🙌

My pleasure, if there anything else I can help with just ask away! Thank you! yes, I think not many people realise the time commitment that is involved in posting consistently... I am trying to be ahead of schedule as much as I can so I don't feel as stressed as I did when I first started but it's definitely hard! I either have to spend a whole entire day on editing or do a few hours every day to keep on top of it!

Best things to advertise a market I've found: If the space is used for other things, advertise there in the actual building. But signs up and down the connecting roads a couple days before, if allowed. Reach out to the local news station to get an interview!

That's great advice, thank you Eva! 🥰 I definitely advertise in the building itself and we are often in the local paper and radio station! I have tried to get permission from the council to put signage on the roads but unfortunately the cost for the permit is too high for me at the moment! but definitely something I want to do in the future! Thanks for your comment!

This video is over 5 months old at the time of me commenting so I doubt you'll see it however it might lend an idea to someone else who might be commenting or reading comments. I live in the Nevada desert and until COvid turned the world upside down I would do multiday Hot air balloon festivals which are held in large open fields where MAJOR gusts of wind are common. Traditional weights and even tie downs did not accomplish the task of holding tents in place. I adopted the practice of using heavy gridwall displays into my set up and would attach them to the tent frame. This added additional weight as well as additional display space for my products. I watched tents take to the air and come crashing down in crowds. NOT something you want to witness OR be the tent owner!! The event coordinators ended up making each vendor have 2 million dollars of insurance coverage to do the events due to the possibility of disasters that could take place. I found the gridwalls played a huge part in keeping my tent grounded!!
