Hi! My name is Riss & I own Autumn Cloud Design, I also primarily work with Polymer Clay & I have been following you for a little while! Your daisies & sunflowers are so so cute. I definitely felt what you said about not following all the trends because everyone is doing the same thing & it’s difficult to get noticed in a sea of it. I’m excited to see what you’ll be doing this year! As for content, while I am in the US and It’s probably a little different, I’d love to see more market prep/set up and how you plan out new collections 😊

Hi Riss it’s lovely to meet you 🥰🥰 Thank you so much for your comment! ❤️ so glad you’re following along here on KZbin as well! Absolutely I definitely felt it super hard this Christmas when I was seeing people posting holiday stuff in October and it just made me feel really bad about myself and that nothing I did was creative enough to compete! Glad I’m not the only one that felt that! I’m excited to see what I come up with this year as well 😆😆 Absolutely noted I will definitely try to do more market stuff, is there any specific part that you want to know more about? All the best 😘😘😘

Hi! I’m Laura from Flossy’s Arts. I’m loving your videos so far, and I think the phone grips look amazing. I would definitely use one! Content-wise I like watching this style of video, market prep / set up and q&a’s.

Brittle may mean that you haven't baked it long enough. Depending on the thickness of your pieces you may need diferent baking times. Another thing to consider is the formulation of the polymer clay. There is more than one kind of Sculpey and more than one kind of Fimo and they are not all meant for jewelry making.

Love your videos! I am impressed that you get to so many markets! I have one a year that I get to because no one really does them here, which I find odd.... Anyway, I do have a question about the polymer clay. In the past, when I have done clay work, it always broke when it was worn. My first necklace that I made that I was really proud of broke the first time I wore it. My earrings snapped off in places when worn. I am not sure what I was doing wrong. How do you keep them from snapping? Keep up the awesome videos! Snuggles to Dexy!

Aw you're so sweet, thank you so much for the support!! Markets are a big (if not the biggest) part of my business plan, so I try to attend as many as I can! That sucks you don't have that many near you, maybe you could start your own? 🥰 Ok, so to answer your question, there's a few things that could be the problem. If you let me know what brand of clay you are using I could probably narrow it down, but some options would be: low quality clay, expired clay, maybe it wasn't baked for the correct time (too long or too little) but most likely its probably the temperature in the oven you are using. Are you just using your kitchen oven? those are notorious for having different temperatures depending on where you place your tray and even if you leave it for the required time, the oven may take too long to reach the temperature or not be even with the same temperature everywhere. Easiest thing is to get an oven thermometer or if possible get a small electric oven just for clay, that way you can make sure the temperature is right! Let me know more details and I can try to help out! All the best ❤️

@@lazy_daisycreations Hi! Thanks so much for responding! I usually use Fimo clay as it is the best one that I can get a hold of here. And I generally use my kitchen over, which isn't very old. The separate thermometer that I have reads the same temp as the oven, so I don't think its that. I always wondered if I was getting too much air in my clay and that was causing the problem. Thanks for your thoughts!!
