Adding a grapple was the single best investment for managing a forested property. Definitely want a huge counter balance on the back though, I will typically use my brush hog or my box blade with an extra 200# of weights on it. Also filling the rear tires helps with the ballast.

Good on you for what you are doing.....I always thought building a large central roofed platform with several shed/cabins all facing towards middle of platform would be good.....platform would be kitchen/meeting/hangout area with a large fireplace/wood stove.

Retired at 69, my team of close net friends will be here on the farm when SHTF. I live in a four bedroom, two bath home with a detached garage. I've been Prepping since the late 70's, have four dogs, cameras on the house and garage. Eight locks on the back door and four locks on the front door. Keep Prepping my friends.
