It's funny because when I went to Greece people asked us about Trump and Hilary. It's okay. We laughed together. You forgot don't take a picture next to a statue and mock or make fun of it. I didn't do this, but I saw other people getting yelled at. I ❤ Greece I can't wait to go back one day.

Examples of racism I've heard in Greece, first hand: "There is an Indian girl at my daughter's school. I refuse to accept my daughter being friends with her". "I would never let a Chinese person massage my wife". "Why were you friends with a Vietnamese girl [at school aged 7]?! Weren't there any Greek children for you to play with?" [I was in Australia] "The Muslims here are terrible people who are hateful and violent".

I'm watching from Sweden. I recently took a DNA test and found out im half greek (my father is unknown and the one who is greek) and wanted to learn more about the greek culture, language and eventually visit greece. My whole life turned upside down of who i am after i found out. But I love the fact that im half greek!

Immersion is the only way. Speaking, reading when you can and media. And give it time. With daily effort, you will be fairly fluent before you know it.

Canada is not what it used to be. First: housing is unaffordable. Along with the rise in the cost of living regarding food, commuting, shopping in general and for services, housing, whether renting or buying has become unaffordable to impossible. At the same time, services such as hospitals are way overcrowded. Most cant find a family doctor. The large cities such as Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are becoming overcrowded and difficult to live in. Salaries have not kept up with the cost of living, especially in Quebec. Its miserable, not to mention that the weather is extreme, especially in the winter. Not worth it anymore. The Liberals have ruined the country.

I want to leave Canada.. it's ridiculous here. We are not free anymore. I'm looking for somewhere I can go and afford to live.
