I agree. People who move to Greece move due to different reasons, as you mention. I, myself graduated with a MA in English and Culture Studies in 2020, and couldn’t get a job due to the pandemic. I moved to Athens in 2022 and worked for a customer service company for almost a year. I earned 1300€ per month (with Easter and Christmas bonuses included twice a year). It was very hard to live on the above salary and also paying the rent. I tried to learn the language and getting Greek friends. Overall, a great experience for holidays, but not for living and working.

I live in the USA and most Greeks here are educated and very well off.

I thought the greatest concerns in Greece were the return of the Parthenon marbles and the frequent misnaming of Greek coffee as Turkish coffee?

Great issues for discussion both but the true issue is that the crisis has not ended but galloping tro a new crash.

I’ve been in the USA since 1982, a lot of things have changed in America also. It’s not any different in the US that is in Greece.. Go to any state in the US and you will find homeless people by the hundreds or thousands. No jobs either. What are you going to do nowadays in any country guys you will go? In United States the economy turned into service economy just like exactly in Greece. What are you going to do in Greece???? What are you going to do anywhere???? Being where you like to be, and you have to fight for your daily bread. Nowhere you will go, will be waiting for you with roses to be handed to you.😂😢

@@antoniosdimoulas3566 exactly my thoughts that's something that many Greeks wanting to move aboard should think about it, it's not the roaring 80s The world goes down the drain, US is in a mess, European countries like Germany and France are pretty much headless, UK doesn't do well In my opinion a person should move to a place that can relate and " stand his ground" there Everything else is just wishful thinking

I grew up in the US and left happily in 1983. People should try living in other countries in order to better appreciate any good in their native country and to become better people themselves. ❤ Returning to Greece at 21 was a sound decision I never regretted.

how can i spend 6 months in Greece , as tourist or even a year what sort of visa do i need
@antoniosdimoulas3566Ай бұрын
@@harrytjives2583 The visa you will need, it’s the same visa that you need going to any country, it’s called “Money visa”.. and if you have enough of those, “are called also Benjamin’s” , be assured, as soon as you come off the airplane, ( hopefully it’s a private corporate jet, preferably Gulfstream, G3✈️) , be assured Greek’s will roll even the red carpet for you. 🍷🍾🍷💰💵💶💷💴💸💸💸💸

Of course it is difficult to find work in Greece. There is a law that companies can not employ a foreigner to do work that a Greek national can do. Even if you have the right to work.
