😢 you are very intelligent and you are obviously black so I'm not going to tell you that your life experience is not what it is. But I find it hard to believe that you say black people are not mad at slavery and that is not a real thing nowadays but there are literally people rallying in the political space for reparations to this day. And I'm not talking just a small number of people I'm talking about black groups that are still wanting reparations. We saw during the George Floyd riots what the signs said. Black lives matter had so many rallies around the nation where everybody interviewed was upset about slavery to this day. I don't understand how you can say that black people are not mad about slavery and that's just a made-up concept that's just not true. Actually the Democrats get most of the votes by using slavery to their advantage and teaching children in America that's slavery was predominantly white thing I never learned in school that black people ever own slaves. That was not common knowledge in my curriculum I am white and always thought we were the oppressors always.

There is nothing behind the scenes of health insurence. I got multiple scleroses. I need meds on a regular base. I pay nothing for it. I pay nothing for regular visits of different doctors. I pay nothing for MRT every 6months. There is nothing behind it. No paperwork, nothing.

6:08 "it makes more sense to believe that they (blacks) are doing better after slavery because slavery ended." #ME: I think most people miss the point that back in the early post-slavery years it was nothing like today. No "right to a job", no workers rights, no really modern economy or real stable currency or real way to "move up" in the world. Owning no property, no generational wealth nor generational education history, etc etc. That is why being free post-slavery is/was not enough to do well... Also, believe it or not but me growing up with my parents not pushing me to do well in school & not disaplining me when I did bad things got me where I am today. A 3x felon & arrested like over 30 times. 2 prison priors too. So, "Culture" bringing those "New England values" makes alot of sense to me. I was a A's & B's student. Was accepted in the G.I.F.T.E.D. classes. Student of the month & week many times, I would finish my classwork 1st, 2nd or 3rd always (I made it fun. 2 other kids & me would race to see who could finish our classwork the fasts), I always loved to read, etc etc... I still turned out bad. I could of done waaaaay better in life & work in my opinion if my parents (culture) would have been more strict on me. All the dumb shit that I did was fun and all but definitely not worth it. It was a waste in my opinion. Too bad I learned that it was a waste after the fact & waaaaay after the fact to be more specific. I wish I would have had better #Priorities as a kid (culture). I'm 43 years old By the way.

Swede here. We have just as many opportunities as you have in the US. More, I'd argue, as it is much easier for people from working and lower classes to improve their lot in life without having to worry much about the costs of health care and more importantly; education. We're not perfect and we sure have our own issues, but all in all I'd say we're a much better place to live in in every regard than the US.

@@FrannyFrancisca Excellent! I wish others who migrate here would put in the effort you do. It's not the easiest language to learn =P. Unfortunately, a lot of the people who immigrate here tend to take our generosity for granted. And because of how irresponsible our politician shave been in regards to their immigration politics, they've ended up letting in all kinds of bad people in. From criminals to islamist terrorists. Like I said, we have our fair share of issues. But if you want to contribute to our society and respect our culture, you're more than welcome. A shame others, more often than not, don't. Anyways, best of luck to you. Välkommen och lycka till!

@@malcolmthorne9779 Of course! Though my biggest obstacle right now is since the median salary requirement for immigrants to work low skill jobs increased, it's gonna be a lot harder to get my foot in the door. I'm not sure how many low skilled employers are gonna be willing to pay a work that much 🤣. My original plan was to learn some swedish, get a low skill job as a start and work on more swedish as I'm working said job. Then, eventually work my way up to go to universities to study medicine (karolinska is the goal). I currently work as a sterile processing tech (healthcare) here in the US and I heard the salary requirement doesn't apply to healthcare jobs. However, I couldn't find any sterile processing jobs open in sweden. The ideal way for me move is to get a bachelors degree in the US then apply to swedish university (to skip working a low skill job first). But our education is absolutely deplorable and puts you at risk of debt. (I'm sure you already know this) But I get why sweden puts these laws in place, it's like a catch all situation to keep people who take advantage of your generosity out. However the lack of nuance within the laws unfortunately makes it difficult for people who may want to work their way up in sweden rather than already having a degree to get their foot in. Especially when those people are in countries with an education system that screws them over lol. But yea, the criminals and terrorists and those who disrespect swedish culture need to be deported immediately. However, I'm not gonna give up haha. I wanna help you're society and protect your culture with you! ❤️

England’s empire was massive at the time, and yes it was massively arrogant. Which unfortunately was a factor in their colonialism. But that same arrogance was why they felt they had the right to enforce their no-slavery rules on others.

The British abolitionist movement was legit. Make sure you recognize the dates because it started before the US gained its independence. Forcing other countries to outlaw slavery and follow suit had the added benefit of being a flex on other nations, but that wasn't the motive. The motive was because Enlightenment era thought traversed abolotionist movement ideology.

7.:30 i live in france, and even private hospitals povide almost free service. You go at the emergency room, wait, get a first check in which you answer a few questions, than you go back to the waiting room, you meet one of the intern generalist doctor, than he gives you a notice for medications, if needed some sic days paperwork for your employer and, also if needed, an apointment with the specialized service. all of this goes for about $35 (which you can pay later) Magic thing, all insurences cover this, send them the bill within 48h, and 10 working days later, you get a full refound.

I am in the UK. You are referred to a hospital by your doctor, just one doctor. If you have to go into the hospital in an emergency you just go, or you call an ambulance. No doctor referal needed. There are no forms to fill in. There is nothing to pay. You are seen straight away. You may have to wait for a while in a waiting room, they treat life threatening conditions first! In the last 6 years I have been treated for cancer (7 surgical procedures and three months in the best hospital in the UK), respiratory collapse, sleep apnea, and diabetes. And how much did I have to pay, NOTHING. I don't even pay for my medication, it's free for diabetics. Thank goodness for the NHS. Yes, it is funded by taxes, but the amount I pay that goes to the NHS is about £200 per year. That's less than $250 😊

Great content. The chap whose voice you can here is Carl Benjamin / Sargon of Akaad of the Lotus Eaters podcast. On the subject of high mortality rates during crossing that's because they were paid per slave onboarded, once the pay structure changed to pay per offboarding survival rates increased dramatically. I'm not sure whether all nations involved in the trans-atlantic slave trade took this route, however.

Racism is ugly in any form: verbal or physical. I'm 63, white and so proud that my parents, who lived through the war in Holland were saved by brave soldiers of diverse races and they taught me to respect people regardless of colour, religion, etc.

Why Trump is right about how bad public schools are.... if possible go to charter school, home school, look into schools who teach subjects that matter.... art/music/PE are all great but unless you are a artist and can sing or play music instrument better than 99% don't waste your time except for the enjoyment of it. Go to schools who offer reading, spelling, math, science, and some type of trade class ( building, car repairs, etc). Too many schools are tax paid day care. Tax in your property tax and other taxes that go towards the school zone you live in. I put my youngest in Richard Milburn Academy and when she graduated a little over a year later after starting 1 1/2 credit short of being a junior by their standards. She graduated in the Top 10% of the NATION. Not the city not the county not the state but the WHOLE NATION. Children go at their own pace. Same as how the class is or as fast as they want to go. She was doing 6 week classes on-line in 1 week. She did every on-line class they offered. Even a few college courses. No school uniforms, no school list that you buy before school starts only to find out that $100 you spent on supplies wasn't enough. 1st day of school each teacher gives the list of what they want so there might be another $100. I paid $5 a year for school supplies at Richard Milburn. And kids go 1/2 a day of regular school. Parents look into alternative schooling. Charter schools and home schooling might not work for you price wise... but a school like Richard Milburn Academy is.

Don't twist brother Malcolm's message. He was not a supporter of Conservatives or Liberals. He was warning black people about the deceitful nature of both parties. The Democrats played friend while undermining black Americans while Republicans were outright racist. You're painting the false narrative that Malcolm was pushing us towards Conservatives. The game hasn't changed. Neither side support blacks. You push Conservatives but where were they to stop the deeds of Liberals. Both are devils to not be trusted.

Good video! Dr. Anderson was correct in 1995 and is correct now. Capitalism is a competitive system. And in capitalism every ethnic group works as a team to obtain benefits and policies that are specifically for them. Imagine showing up for a game and half the people on your team were not prepared to play. Imagine that half of the team did not know the rules, had not read the playbook and were wearing the wrong jersey. How do you think the team would perform? During the civil rights movement of the 1960s Black Americans had social cohesiveness and understood they were on the negro team. Everyone understood the goal of the team and you had players that understood their roles and they played to win. Unfortunately, since the 1980s the social cohesiveness (team feeling) has been destroyed among the Black community. And sadly, Black Americans as a group now own and control no industries or natural resources in the country. We are currently playing the game of Capitalism as a band of undisciplined individuals just like the team described above in paragraph 1. Movements like ADOS are trying to bring back the social cohesiveness (team play) needed for competition mentioned by Dr. Anderson and many others. Peace!

I'm really proud that our local villagers stood up for the black soldiers. It really shows how different things were between America and Britain. M.Ps driving around rounding people up like KKK lynch mob. So embarrassing to act like that in someone else's country. And regarding the black soldiers being popular, black fellas were slick as can be back then. You see the old footage of them with the hats and suits and shoes, they must have looked. Mike, you were straight out of a film noir movie. Unless they were just wearing their uniform, in which case they would have been irresistible anyhow.

I'm in Australia. I got sick recently with an infection. Went to the hospital. No paperwork. They just took my name and ID and admitted me. I ended up in ICU (intensive care unit) for 2 weeks and and all up was there for 30 days. They sent me home with medications to last another month. I didn't pay one cent for any of it. They ended up booking follow up appointments for 6 months after to check on me as follows up after are.. Again all free. My son was hit by a car. Broken ribs. Smashed pelvis. All his treatment was free. Follow ups with specialists etc for 18 months after. No cost. He is completely fine and healed now but he still remains on a road trauma register so they call once a year to see how he is physically, emotionally and mentally. He doesn't need it but they do it just in case. In my state we have a public insurer for all transport accidents. Even if the accident was your fault, the government funds all the associated medical costs. Depending on the severity they might even find home support services like cleaners or support workers for you. Even if you witness a transport accidents the government will fund mental health treatment for the trauma of what you witnessed. I used to live and work in the US but I returned back to Australia. Mainly because the support and financial regulation here keeps us safer and is more supportive. My point is..no..it isn't hard. There isn't too much paperwork. For basic life needs, the support is always available. I worked very high up in a large US corporate giant. Red tape and excruciating processes are part of US corporate culture. It's very unfortunate.

Some interesting facts. You must pass the ball back, not forward, in Rugby. All your players must be behind the man with the ball. So to attack, you have to start from behind. You cannot tackle anyone or block anyone but the ball carrier. There are only 4-6 reserves. If you come off you cannot go back on. As a lighter back, you need to do the 100m in 11.5 seconds and many are faster, and as a forward, 12 seconds. So being big is not enough. You are drug tested every week, so no steroids or recreational drugs. Rugby is played by 133 nations, second only to Soccer. In Australia its played right down to Under 7s at school level. Interschool sport makes school life here a 6 days a week enterprise. Teachers coach sport from 3.30 to 5.30pm every day and supervise interschool sport competition on Saturdays. They are paid extra for Saturdays. So the school experience with tough discipline, single sex, school uniforms, sport and military cadets come as a bit of a shock to American families who move here.
