So good!!! Thank you! Man oh man. My baby blue crapped out on me last night. So many jeep peeps were trying to help. So grateful for all of them! And you. But they were stumped because my gears would no longer work. I put my baby in reverse (automatic) and we went backwards and then we were stuck. She won't move at all. Death wobble is severe after a recent road trip. Appears to be some radiator fluid leaaking as well. :( A tow truck got us home safely.

Thanks for your video. I have the same issue with my track bar, and I've made a video about it on my channel. I'm still debating which brand to go with, but you made a compelling point about original parts lasting longer, which differs from what I've heard before.

It’s pronounced “Razor” not “R-Z-R”
@BackboneADV15 күн бұрын
History lesson: When the model first came out around 2008, it was called a "Razor" and printed on the machine that way. Not sure if there were legal or branding issues regarding that word, but they quickly changed it to "RZR". However, the term "Razor" stuck, and is still used by some in the public to this day. Polaris does not refer to it as a "Razor".
@coryabbott951815 күн бұрын
@ in 2008 it was launched as the “Ranger RZR” and has always been pronounced “razor”. Polaris markets the machine with this pronunciation, not “R-Z-R”

I just bought a 2021 and got the wobble on the way home.. 12K miles.. could there be that much wear??
@BackboneADVАй бұрын
Sure. If it saw quite a bit of 4x4 trail. My Jeeps see 4x4 trail every day. It only takes 5000 miles before I have to change out at least one of the tie rods. Of course this depends on how someone drives the Jeep on a rocky trail. There could be other reasons as well. If it was lifted and an alignment wasn't done properly. Tires completely out of balance. Things like that can wear on tie rods over a short period of time.

I'm in Colorado Springs and have a lifted 150 rebel that I currently have 35x12.5 toyo M/T and I can't get any traction in the rain ... so i guessing the snow I'll be all over the place. I just ordered the Kenda rt so I can have a cheap tire for the winter. Do you think the Kenda will be good for doing basic snow stuff on the road and maybe getting up to Breckenridge a few times through the winter? I'm starting to second guess buying the Kenda's.

@BackboneADV2 ай бұрын
If those are working and high and low aren't, you could be dealing with a bigger problem. I would imagine the high and low gears and/or the engagement dogs inside the transmission are shot. I've seen this a lot in older machines. I have a video on youtube that shows how to rebuild the transmission. It's not overly complicated.

I need help deciding between Kenda Klever R/Ts or their M/T2's. My vehicle is a Nissan Xterra, V8 (VK56) swapped with titan-swapped front suspension, radflo 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers and shocks and axles on 285/75R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I've been using it for 7 years now and I want something new. I do a lot of roadtrips so I'm on pavement a lot but I do try and tackle aggressive stuff when I off-road.
@BackboneADV2 ай бұрын
I'll be honest, I went back to the Nitto Ridge Grappler on my truck for this year. The Kenda R/T were great though. I just felt like they wore a tad quicker than the Nittos (was my fault probably. I spent a lot more time off road this year and spinning in some nasty shit). The M/T is the best tire I've used on our Jeeps though. Those damn things hold up well. However, it's a loud tire. So if you're driving on roads a lot, I'm not sure you would like it. I'm 2 months in on that new set of ridge grapplers and I'm already starting to kick myself.
@DRTMaverick2 ай бұрын
@@BackboneADV Thanks for your reply! What was your experience on ice/frozen weather with the Ridge Grapplers compared to the R/Ts? That's what's really kind of holding me back from buying a third pair of Ridge Grapplers is the winter performance. I drive from Oregon to Nevada and cross the cascades and sierras on the way. Mainly trying to find some RT/Hybrids that will perform better in icy conditions.

Hey, I’ve been having somewhat the same issue with my 2020 Kawasaki KRX 1000. The RPMs at idle seem off with the gears being difficult to shift sometimes, but the main problem is that when accelerating and reaching the bridge between 5000-6000 RPM the vehicle start to buck. Also after a long time on the trails, the check engine light comes on and the L-F power modes start flashing, which limits the power. From what I’ve researched, this seems to be the “limp mode”. I checked for the engine code, and it shows code 18. Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the cost of fleet insurance fluctuate depending upon the amount of machines you have and do they offer discounts to larger fleets? If a customer isn't at fault when an accident accures do you still charge them for damages and could they have a potential lawsuit against your company if you do so? What are the most expensive repairs that could happen parts wise?
@BackboneADV3 ай бұрын
Good questions: They charge a certain amount for each machine in your fleet. So, the price just goes up. There are only a couple reasons the customer wouldn't be at fault. 1. They're sitting still and someone else hits them. 2. You rented them a faulty machine that failed and caused the accident. In that case, eah, there could be a lawsuit if someone was inurred. When a serious injury does occur and a lawsuit is brought, one of the first things that will be requested by the court is to ground the vehicle so it can be inspected by the court via an independent expert. This is why maintenance and dailt inspections are very important. Expensive repairs? That depends on the year, make, and model. Every machine has a week point that can be costly. The biggest expense you're going to see is belts and primary clutches. Polaris and Can-Am require new a new belt every 300 - 400 miles unless you want to recover a broke down machine on the trail and deal with an unhappy customer. The primary clutch will need rebult every 750 - 1000 miles. That will usually cost around $400 if you do the work yourself. As for tip overs: It's rare to see damages under $1500 (your cost for parts).

Can you go more indepth about infrastructure costs, insurance and what happens with claims & cost increases after multiple accidents with fleet insurance? What happens if the customer has an accident that's not the fault of the customer, as in are they still being billed for damages in those situations?

I have a 2024 Ranger 570 Full size. When I put it in park, I ALWAYS have to slight rock it (usually by putting my foot on the ground) and then it will just fall into park. This is 99% of the time. I removed the shift cable and it did the same thing but only about 50% of the time. So half the time it would just fall down into park when I shifted the lever (using a wrench) The other 50% it stopped just like with the cable attached, I could then barley roll it and it would fall into "park". My local dealer tried to tell me this is normal which is absolutely nuts!! That is not normal on any type of vehicle with gears. Here is the video I made for the dealer to show them what it was doing. Any insight will be appreciated. This video you did was awesome! I also found out the 570 FS does not have a roller on the detent but just a simple point, part# 3235603 problem demo video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXaxn5Vnqax8icU

There was fluid (tiny bit) that ran out when you removed the cover plate. Where did that fluid come from? I assume it is not necessary to provide any lubrication on any of the new parts we are putting in? GREAT GREAT video. Thank you!!
@BackboneADV3 ай бұрын
It;s just residual gear oil from the trans. No need to lubricate when working on it. Once you fire it up and drive it, fluid will flow into that area.
