I’ve got Kenda Klevar R/Ts and love them. Been on just about 3 yrs about 40k. Mostly street but off-road plenty.

First thing I noticed too and Klevars are the cheap tires. They are knock off BFG KM2's lol.

Thanks for the rundown on those tires. I live just a bit south of you and have similar terrain that I run with my Jeep JL. I look forward to your feedback on the Mickey Thompsons as I've heard good things about them too. I would like to try the Kenda Klever MT2's but I'm concerned about their winter performance. I heard they are sketchy on packed snow.

I'm in Colorado Springs and have a lifted 150 rebel that I currently have 35x12.5 toyo M/T and I can't get any traction in the rain ... so i guessing the snow I'll be all over the place. I just ordered the Kenda rt so I can have a cheap tire for the winter. Do you think the Kenda will be good for doing basic snow stuff on the road and maybe getting up to Breckenridge a few times through the winter? I'm starting to second guess buying the Kenda's.

Love the look of those Kenda RTs on your Ram. I think for my Gladiator, the Kanati Trail Hog will be the ticket though. I get a lot of snow in my neck of the woods and don’t put a whole lot of miles on my truck so wear isn’t too much of a concern. Side note that you may already be aware of: Your front passenger spring looks very bowed as if your control arm is too long. Thanks for the thorough video!

I`m just getting ready to replace my Mickey Thompson baja ATZ`s. They were pretty decent on and off road and lasted about 40k daily driving in New England... Wouldn`t buy again though, just due to price. May try the Kenda M/T`s next.

'Sup!? Thoughts on the K02's? I just got them on my truck
@BackboneADV10 ай бұрын
Great tire. Awesome in packed snow. Good rock tire. I got 10 months out of it. But again, I'm on trail a lot and I drive mainly very curvy canyons (too fast) which wears my tires out quick. BFG's look great. I'm running a set of K02's on one Jeep and a set of Kenati Trail Hogs on another to see if the trail hogs last as long as the K02's. A lot of simalarities in design and tread compound, so we'll see. Big price difference.

You should look into the maxxis at or the mt the at is a 50000 mile tire a another tire is hercules tires both are around 1200 a set . For 35s

The trail hogs, im building out a gladiator ecodiesel in hopes to get the kids out west do some trails and remote camping, some crawling.. would these be a bad tire to try (im in wisconsin so 80% of the tire will be drive to work) I got the lift ordered im just on the fence between the trail hogs vs a name brand, nitto etc.
@BackboneADV7 ай бұрын
I'd do the Nittos. Those trail hogs wear out fast.

I have a lifted cherokee xj on 35s. I live in Denver and I am looking at getting a set of Kendas but I was wondering what your thoughts are on which is better the kenda RT or MT
@BackboneADV7 ай бұрын
They're both great. Obviously the MT's will have a little more road noise and are more agressive. They both last a good amount of time. I'm pretty impressed by both. The MT's aren't the greatest in hard pack snow, then again, what is really?
@LetsGoHeat3057 ай бұрын
@madisonhitch thanks for the reply. I'm assuming these perform better on the highway than the MTs but how do the kenda RTs perform on the roads here in Colorado when it snows? I'll probably have to use four high regardless but some extra traction would sure be nice especially going up into the Mountains in the winter when the roads are slick
@supersportimpalass6 ай бұрын
@@LetsGoHeat305BFG just came out with the new KM3 all terrain which is a much improved version over the KM2. You will have to check on your size though as they are rolling all the sizes out in the next couple of years. If they do have your size I would highly recommend them. Second choice would be the new Goodyear Duratrack kevlar with a close third to the Kenda RT.
@LetsGoHeat3056 ай бұрын
I'm currently running the km3 mts 35s on 15" rims but their discontinued in my size I like the new km3 ats but the smallest size they come in for 35 is a 17" rim. My buddy has the baja boss ats I'm super impressed with its grip last time it snowed we were trying to have fun in an empty parking lot and they would not slide at all when he would try to fish tail it blew my mind probably the best all around tire on the market
@mastermoarman10 ай бұрын
Have you ever triend the goodyear mt/r with kevlar?

Yeah, they wore out a little quick for me. Loved the performance though.

The Knati Trail Hogs look good? How are they?
@BackboneADV7 ай бұрын
They're great in snow. They do wear a little quicker due to a tad softer rubber compound. The upside of that is they hook up well on rock terrain.

How's the off road performance of the Klever MTs?
@BackboneADV8 ай бұрын
They clean out well in mud. So far I've had great luck in rocky terrain. Not to bad in snow to be honest. The side lugs are awesome in rock as well. They tend to last longer than most other tires. We haven't had any punctures or issues.

How's road noise on paved?
@DRTMaverickАй бұрын
I need help deciding between Kenda Klever R/Ts or their M/T2's. My vehicle is a Nissan Xterra, V8 (VK56) swapped with titan-swapped front suspension, radflo 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers and shocks and axles on 285/75R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I've been using it for 7 years now and I want something new. I do a lot of roadtrips so I'm on pavement a lot but I do try and tackle aggressive stuff when I off-road.
@BackboneADVАй бұрын
I'll be honest, I went back to the Nitto Ridge Grappler on my truck for this year. The Kenda R/T were great though. I just felt like they wore a tad quicker than the Nittos (was my fault probably. I spent a lot more time off road this year and spinning in some nasty shit). The M/T is the best tire I've used on our Jeeps though. Those damn things hold up well. However, it's a loud tire. So if you're driving on roads a lot, I'm not sure you would like it. I'm 2 months in on that new set of ridge grapplers and I'm already starting to kick myself.
@DRTMaverickАй бұрын
@@BackboneADV Thanks for your reply! What was your experience on ice/frozen weather with the Ridge Grapplers compared to the R/Ts? That's what's really kind of holding me back from buying a third pair of Ridge Grapplers is the winter performance. I drive from Oregon to Nevada and cross the cascades and sierras on the way. Mainly trying to find some RT/Hybrids that will perform better in icy conditions.

Bro! Just info. Siping is not for snow. Siping is for wet roadways.

Better inform all tire manufacturers about that. They might want to reconsider the design of their snow tires. You'll turn the entire tire industry on it's head, "bro".
