Hi Sam. Considering putting the costco Mohawk laminate in a new summer place I may buy. How have yours held up? I've had laminate before and had issues with moisture/water/pet accidents making some of the joints bubble up. I've heard the newer laminates are much more waterproof. Appreciate any thoughts. You're a true jack of all trades. Wish I could do as much as you. Very cool. Kevin in MI

The floors actually held up really well! Just don’t let water sit on them and they’ll be fine. Make sure you acclimate them for 48 hours as well

i would have welded some square tube steel to the floor before doing the tinfoil because without a square frame in the rockers the car will sag in the middle and your doors might become hard to open and close

Sam... Thanks for video. I'm a senior with the same car (actually a For Ester, or Ruth; I couldn't care less!) and the same problem (deeper though). Never leave this 'art' for another. Sadly, very few have the "spirit" to do repairs these days. They are just 'parts swappers'. I almost had an orgasm watching and enjoying your repair. Thanks again. 😂😂

Grew up in the Toledo area. My dad taught music in Toledo he was a traveling music teacher. I love the city but I would never move back. The weather sucks year-round. Yes they have a great museum it's okay yes they have a great Symphony, my dad played in it, yes they have a nice zoo. It has deteriorated somewhat.. that's about it though. There's not much else to do in the city. The worst thing is the weather though. Cloudy gloomy rainy snowy 75% of the year.. no thanks. There's a reason that it's cheap to live there. No one wants to live there.

I also have an old house that I’m working on by myself and doors are one of the main things that I end up having to work on because of shifting house. I had been stuck on installing a new pocket door for a while because I need to shorten the door I bought so I can hang it on my rail system. This video helped me figure out if a circular saw will do the job properly for cutting the door shorter and also helped me figure out what I should do with that block at the bottom of the door. Thank u

What polish are you using that is capable of removing a 1000 grit scratch? I use a polish that is supposed to take out 1,200 grit but I can't get it to remove a 1500 grit.
@RelocatingToCleveland Жыл бұрын
i think that was turtle wax. theres an abrasive one and a polish one. It takes some elbow grease to get them out if youre doing it by hand

Would it hurt anything if you just left the bottom open?
@RelocatingToCleveland Жыл бұрын
It could if someone smacked their foot on the bottom of it. You want some sort of backer on it. If you don’t have the nail gun and table saw, you can put spray insulation in and cut it off after it dries for the support
@TheHarmonicOscillator Жыл бұрын

That might be fine for a Craftsmen generator? I have a Honda EU7000is. It weighs almost 300 pounds with fuel & oil. I would never attempt your method with that set up. When my generator was delivered from the dealer they used a car trailer & tipped the body down to remove it gently. I just ordered a Spitz Lift for my truck. Yes, it costs a lot more money but I won’t hurt my body. Second is that my generator hasn’t needed one bit of service since I bought it 6 years ago. I have only changed the battery because it was old. Not that it needed it. As well as change the oil. It has about 80 hours on it. It has always started the first time & has run flawlessly providing power to my entire house including the 2-1/2 ton central air. Obviously your a young man & your fit enough to move nimbly around. Your method is great for someone who desires to be cautious with his money as my grandfather used to say. The old motto still rings true. “You get what you pay for”.
