Ila McAfee has a mural painted in the Gunnison Post office. It was commissioned by the WPA. She grew up just south of town on her parents ranch and graduated Gunnison High school in 1916. In 1919 she graduated with a BA in the arts studying with Catherine and Henry Richter at Wesrern State College. She is known for her horse art and later in her life established the White Horse Studio in Taos, NM. My family was very close with her and related to Elmer P Turner, her husband, also a Colorado artist. She passed away in Pueblo, Colo in 1995.

Don't move to Sedona if you need medical care! The number ONE reason why people leave Sedona after a few years: absence of decent medical care. The closest is Flagstaff, Prescott, or Scottsdale. Driving back and forth gets old after a while. Emergencies? I just had one, car accident, and the Cottonwood ER was horrendous, worse than any clinic or hospital I have visited in Third World countries. Fortunately, I am a retired physician and I was able to take care of a lot of things myself, and avoid to be hurt by very incompetent medical personal.

I purchased a 12 volt oil pump, $20.00. Suck out the oil via the dip stick tube. Eliminates the need to crawl under the van. The complete procedure is done from the topside. The oil is pumped directly into a container therefore no need for wasting an oil tray.

Trekking poles? Do you use one or two and why
@CubbyVanLifeАй бұрын
@@bobbiemayers354 I use one tracking pole mostly because I always have something else in my other hand like my dog leash or my phone, and also because I don’t feel the need to use two. Why do I use one? Because I’m 62. It makes going up and especially down steep slopes, a lot easier, and much safer.

What size arctic tern windows did you end up with? Maybe if they are a bit closer to a square shape, then slider can open a bit more. Did you put a different size window into the slider? Looks smaller from here. Also, why didn't you use the same types of windows on the back doors? Since they are double panes, that would be ideal by the bed.
