Now there’s a couple faces from the past. Hope you guys are doing well lol. Great video and informative. I remember back in the 1990s while working as a ranger on the lake and back country. Many campground hosts who were great people. Good luck.

Well, you were very fortunate to get a spot anywhere around that lake and not find anyone. I’ve lived in Arizona most of my life, and years ago that was the norm. You could go practically anywhere and not find people. Now, forget it. No matter where you go you will finds loads of young people playing their damn noisy music, partying and getting blind drunk. You just can’t enjoy peace and quiet anymore, anywhere. So, count yourselves very fortunate. My idea in camping is what I did way up north in northern Ontario, Canada. Unbelievable. We went to a provincial park called Algonquin Park and did some portaging. That’s where you go from lake to lake carrying your canoe and gear between each lake. Best camping trip I ever been on. Nobody, absolutely nobody around except my friend and I. And the sounds of the loons on the lake at night was absolutely beautiful. Gotta go back one day, but, like everywhere else these days, it’s over run by noisy drunken young people. Don’t want to be around that at all. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the insight. You can still find private places to camp in many areas, however, almost never on the weekend. As a retired person who lives full-time in my van, I have to say the Friday is by far my most hated day of the week. Mondays are a dream. Thank God most people work Monday through Friday so we can get some privacy.

As someone who is from that area that is pretty much the spring and summer scene for Roosevelt lake. Too bad y'all didn't take the time to get some amazing Globe/Miami style Mexican food though! Apache Trail (road out to Roosevelt from Globe) has Guayos' that is a very popular spot for 'boat' people (as we locals refer to them as) to stop and eat before heading to the lake. I greatly enjoyed your vlog 😊 Thanks for sharing.

Just when we thought the Americans could not go lower than Bud Light( and the orange guy), we have Gangsta Country music mix. Never heard of this dam before. 5 mil people in the desert within 2+ hours ? Surprised not busy all the time. Must make for great full moon exploring on clear nights

Oh please, I've been to Panama City Beach, FL and even Lake Havasu during spring break doesn't come close to topping the real Redneck RIviera. But I'll give you some artistic license to embellish your video.

Thanks for artistic license Doug! You are correct. I too have been to Panama City Beach and we stayed in a Cracker Barrel parking lot there because everyplace else was Way too scarry! Wanna really see the redneck riviera? Go to Lake Keowee South Carolina next weekend, 4th of July weekend, and you’ll see some true Hillbilly Hijinx! Grab a chair, bowl of popcorn, crack a Bud Lite and enjoy the show!
