I can’t find the spark plug on 2012 2.2 ranger Is there any help?
@kurtjohnson134123 сағат бұрын
So I took the deck off, took the blades off, sharpened them, put them back on, and now they won't turn by hand, which they did before I removed them. They barely move when i hit them with a mallet. The nut was really hard to get off at first, so I made sure to put it back real tight. The blades are on properly, so what am I doing wrong? I have work to do!

Would it work for a 2022 Ranger?
@MicahMartinDIY2 күн бұрын
Yes, I'm sure it will.
@breckboy6542 күн бұрын
I find this interesting because bearded ford tech was able to do a drain and fill on the Ranger without issue. Would definitely be curious if you’d ever try to do this again? Really wanted to do this but now you’ve got me worried
@MicahMartinDIY2 күн бұрын
I will not be doing this again. It was expensive to have a garage do the corrective procedure.

Thanks! I won't know how it affects the mileage for a few weeks. However, since the acceleration is improved, my MPG may go down because it's so tempting to bump the throttle!

Great video except for the fact that you put the wrong plugs in your truck dude. You shouldn't have went to amazon... the Ford dealer gave me a different part number for mine. Sp-594. I showed them your video they laughed and said that plug is too cold for the 2.3 ecoboost as they are resistive spark plugs

@@MicahMartinDIY where would the other oxygen sensor be located at ? Cuz I recently changed the short one, that can be replaced from the top right of the engine bay. So I’m guessing the one you changed is the lower oxygen sensor & I have to do from the bottom ??

I was able to clean the agitator (at least what I can get to). Issue is that between the metal and white plastic piece is all mold (gunk or whatever it is) and its impossible to get to. Your plastic piece is white so you cant see. Mine is clear so you can see it all behind that. Just wondering if anyone has a way to get that. I know if I bend the metal to remove that plastic piece, it will never go back the same way

Good vid. My wifes’ service book says to change plugs at 30k on her 2022, which is where she is now. Ordering a set. Ive read Ford uses the plugs to sense current in the combustion gasses, which is needed to properly run the turbo (among a million other computer programs). Many ‘bad turbo’ instances and issues are simply from bad plugs. Its like a gas furnace: the control sends a DC current through the gas valve, and the flame IS the conductor (HVAC guy here). For only $35, ill order a new set of plugs. Thanks

**CAUTION** You must use the new screw with the new idler arm. Although, both holes have the same diameter, if you look at the thickness of the metal around both holes, you will notice that the original idler arm is thicker around that hole and the new idler arm is thinner. The new screw has a more narrow shoulder to fit the thinner metal of the new arm.

Do u find that ur transmission like to sit in 7th gear when your driving low speed like 40 kmh or I think that’s 24 mph most limits in town here in Canada are 40 or 50 kmh and when I’m in the 30 to 50 kmh range it seem to sit in one gear to high it has a shuttering to it like vibrating and rumbling noise

I wouldnt say those plugs are in that bad of shape. They'll all have some carbon on them but as long as the insulator tip and eletrode and all that aren't white (excessive heat) or super black (excessive carbon) then its normal. You want them to be that copper/rust color when you take them out. Thats sign for a good plug.

what i recommend is getting a Fumoto oil drain plug M12 x1.75 with the angle end.I put mine in yesterday after my 1st oil change and hooked up 2ft of hose and you can drain it into a pan or a gallon can.So much easier.The valvomax doesn't have a angle fitting to add to the end.
