Hi! I've started a similar project, (trying to make a book makeover) but I'm uncertain which type of silver foil is best with the Cricut joy. Could you give me any recommendation of a brand or place where I can find what I need? Thank you in advance!❤
@BookishDIYChronicles7 күн бұрын
Hi 😊 if you mean transfer foil I've only tried it a few times, so I'm not an expert. However, you can find it on amazon. Cricut itself produces it, or this is the one that I have: We R Memory Keepers 0633356606680 Foil Quill-4 x 6 Inch Seat-Silver Swan (30 Piece), M a.co/d/g8i5fuG Hope it helps you ❤️

Very nice! Love the patterns on the page edges too that all help bring the design together. I panicked for a second watching you apply the cover vinyl, but it came out great. For me, I would use the dry hinge method (having used vinyl for about 15 years), but you seem to have the application worked out great.

Hola que genial la forma en que diseñas tus libros, quisiera saber si los diseños con la cricut son muy propensos a salirse con el tiempo o uso?
@BookishDIYChronicles27 күн бұрын
Thanks! It depends on the material you use, Cricut permanent vinyls are the ones that I think last the longest. If I'm not mistaken they are guaranteed for 3 years outdoors, so I think they can last even longer on books, if looked after well :)

Hey there, great work with those books! Just a question, how are you cutting those fine details in Cricut? What are your settings for the machine so that it cuts the details and the small letters?
@BookishDIYChronicles4 ай бұрын
Thank you! ❤️ I don't do much, in terms of settings nothing at all, I choose a simple font and decide the size, Cricut does the rest. With images and fonts that are too small and elaborate the results wouldn' t be the same, I would ruin everything in an attempt to remove the excess vinyl. I hope I have answered your question 😊

Great video thanks! What model of Cricut did you use to make these? Also how durable is the vinyl cutouts once they are stuck on (ie do you think they will peel off over time)? Cheers
@BookishDIYChronicles5 ай бұрын
Thank you!! I'm currently using Cricut Joy. The vinyl is the permanent one so it should last a long time; I 've been using it only for 4 months, but for now it seems holding up very well. I noticed that if I make a mistake or change my mind I can remove it within minutes, but it leaves a slight mark on the cover. Anyway, I personally believe it will last for years. 🤞🏻I might even make a video next year showing how they held up. Thanks for the idea! 😊
