Very smart method! I had a dream yesterday I was being chased. The emotion was fear but also exhilaration too. I have a big deal going on with a client right now so looks like it was just related to that.

If only I knew how easy it would be, it’s been over 2 years and I don’t have any cravings at all, for me the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal, not even within the first 30 days after go’ogling and following Steffon Barkload’s and quitting because I just wanted to.
@MartinR-z3o2 ай бұрын
Thanks, these are some good reminders, there’s no question that increasing your mental clarity and boosting your drive, comes with quitting. Yes, there are many ways to kick the habit, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever is what worked for me, best shortcut I go’ogled that took days without withdrawal.

Tremendous video. Thanks for sharing. Coming up to 6 months alcohol free i relate to a lot. The low mood subtlety and its corelation to the impact on your relationships and hobbies and activities is a silent lethal aspect.

I did the keto diet but I was cheating, as I was still drinking alcohol - but drinking things that were still low carb, like sparkling wine. Somehow I still stayed in ketosis most of the time and also ate plenty of green veg/cauliflower/full fat dairy etc and a lot of protein. Anyway, at some point I stopped and gradually slid back into a regular diet. Put all the weight I'd lost back on and an extra half a stone or so!! 😓😓. I liked how I felt on Keto but I feel it's too restrictive for me. Do you think a lower-carb/clean eating diet is still OK? Rather than full on KETO?
@motivo-academy4 ай бұрын
Great comment and question. I think diet should fit a persons needs and lifestyle. Some diets become more like a religion which isn’t fun. 😊 I started keto as a response to a sugar addiction (and out of curiosity). Eating clean (ideally organic) is a baseline. After that, using exercise and keeping calories at just under daily usage (and once a week slightly above) is great advice I’ve received from competitive athletes.

Agree 100%. I've been sober for 13 days. Alcohol crept up to almost daily drinking. At least a bottle of wine most nights. I remember when it was a couple of glasses. The 4-5pm cravings were very strong. Thankfully they reduce after a week and much more now. I don't think I'm quite at the stage of giving up entirely but I'm on the way to doing that and it's a work in progress. This is the fourth time in the last year that I've had some time off drinking- so, it is slowly happening.

I always dream that i just got out of school and I cant find my car in the parking lot and I have to find a way home. I usually end up walking and hitchhiking and meeting other people who try to help me but I never actually make it home. I always get sidetracked by the people i meet. While im interacting with them im always panicking in the back of my mind about the need to get home. Haven’t made it home yet.

Last night I had a dream I was driving down an alley, I could tell somewhere close to a beach, when I saw a dog on a leash tied up who looked vicious but the closer I got the dog smiled. I stopped got out and pet him but he stayed still like a stuffed animal, but he was real. I then decided this would be a great place to do some street photography. Walked down the alley got to the corner, where I could see the beach. Down the board walk looked liked town houses. These 2 girls approached me, I started taking their pictures on my basically brand new Sony A7iv camera, when for some reason I put the camera down. When I went to pick it up, it was a totally different camera, which then I started freaking out, "What the heck," Someone stole my camera and replaced with a different camera. When all of a sudden this couple came out of one of the town houses and asked if I needed a place to stay. Next thing I remember all 3 of us are in bed. The same bed. The husband on the far right, me on the far left, wife was in the middle. There was nothing sexual. Woke up in the morning, and there was their son playing with the camera that had been replaced. Then I woke up!! Crazy ha???

What a dream! Also sounds very positive. What were the emotions in your dream? Where do you think you are/were experiencing those emotions in your life? Maybe you started a new job recently?
@LKO-Ekawami5 ай бұрын
@@motivo-academy My emotions were amazing till my camera got swiped. I am a UPS driver 20years, for the past 3 years have gotten in to photography. I've always loved photography and videography. I been kicking around the notion of becoming a professional photographer. Maybe the couple was my parents, the little boy was me. I could not pin point where I was..I am also a professional gigging musician singer song writer with a very nice recording studio, but Photography is my new love..For 3 months now I have been on the carnivore diet and I have been dreaming vivid dreams every night.. Crazy...

It certainly sounds as if the dream relates to this decision to move into your exiting new direction as a photographer. There’s tension in the dream between missing the opportunity (the emotion of losing the new Sony camera) and approaching something daunting (the emotion of the scary dog that becomes friendly). Luckily you seem to have supportive people around you (the emotion of your parents and the child). My suggestion is to write down everything you DON’T know about becoming a pro photographer. Then go and find advice and info until you have enough knowledge to make a clear confident decision. Good luck!

@@motivo-academy What??? I feel so overwhelmed right now with emotion Mr Potter from your analysis. Wow!!!! Your advice nailed it.. I had a gentlemen on my route who was building a place to hold wedding receptions, and I told him that I am a videographer and photographer, and he asked me if I had a card. I told him no. I have no experience with the business side yet, and I realized that I lacked the confidence like you mentioned. You have no idea what a positive and up-lifting feeling your words have made feel. I am going to follow your advice, write down every thing I don't know, also have some cards made, and I will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you so much, sincerely Loren Ortiz. P.S. Strange short dream a couple night's ago-- I am the passenger sitting beside my mother who is piloting a small plane. We are flying and I notice the plane's nose start to dive down. I look over and see my mother is either asleep or has had some sort of medical emergency. Her eyes are closed and her head is starting to lean. We are headed straight into the neon marquis of a film theater. Dream ends before we hit the building.

A very powerful dream! Q: What were the emotions in your dream? Where do you think you are/were experiencing those emotions in your life? Maybe the emotion was anxiety and a sense of a situation not being under control?

Just less than 14 minutes ago, I was putting coconut oil on my legs, and I had a sense of deja vu. About 6 seconds later, I realized that it was a dream that I had a few years ago. Possibly 2-3 years ago. The thing is that I've never been in this room until this past month. I've never sat next to a big a/c unit at the edge of a bed, next to a window...in this extended stay hotel. I had the most eerie feeling..

Memory works in mysterious ways with deja vu. The memory is being formed but the sense is that it is being remembered at the same time. Sometimes it can be a sign of stress so take good care of yourself! 😊

The superego was Freud's idea, not Jung's.
@motivo-academy5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the correction! Its great to know people are watching. Misspoke in the moment and should have referred specifically to Jung’s ideas of ego and “the shadow” as well as the earlier Freudian concept of the superego. Broadly speaking in more modern practical coaching and counseling terms we are referring to subconscious emotions. I believe our greatest superpower as humans is our ability to project those emotions on visual mediums (dreams and art) - we just need to learn to read them! 😊

I'm a year clean and sober today 🎉😊🎉 I don't miss anything about it and I don't have any cravings whatsoever.. It's been easier than drinking because I don't get any of the negatives that comes with drinking.. alcohol is a gutter drug, the sooner you ditch it the better off you will be. Alcohol is a poison to the body and soul so why take poison?
Thank you for the tip. I‘m going to try using it. I quit alcohol but can‘t quit smoking yet. Now I use the word ‚yet‘, so in a way, I think I can adapt the idea to work with the ‚tenses‘ idea. Because ‚not yet‘ is a time span which will end at a certain point. Thank you Russell, really good advice. I managed quitting alcohol wirh quit-lit, Holy Whitaker‘s „Quit like a woman“ is a gorgeous book. I wasn‘t a heavy drinker but a ‚regular drinker‘. Almost every night a drink to ‚relax‘, at parties and weekends more. Last autumn I started to get annoyed with this. Sober since 23rd December. Now I‘m very happy to be on the ‚other side‘. Take good care everyone, Best regard from Lilith from Germany
