Lol it’s funny that you are comparing adult learners to toddlers 😆 you clearly don’t know anything about linguistics. Not even critical period theory

Korean is important for grammar fr tho bc right when you pronounce a word the wrong way it sounds like another word witch can mean different things 😭 it’s so confusing bc of adaptation from English words into Korean too so that changes some of the characters like in cucumber, instead of cu being ㅜ (oo as in goose) it’s ㅗ (o as in long) it’s something to do with the sound of it IDK ITS SO CONFUSING 😭😭😭😭😭

just learn grammar to get you going like base structure of the language then do what the guy tells you to do. because some romance language is so focused on grammar that's how they did not give me B1 in Italian, now target in B2 or c1

I wanna learn korean 1. So i don't need focus on grammar u should but something like warm up before workout this is the level that i have to focus on grammar. 2. I have to watch web series, movie, song's in the korean language. 3. I have to speak in Korean no matter what if u don't have friends that are interested in Korean or u feel shy while speaking no problem u got yourself talk to yourself in the bonus when u talk to you self these will improve your communication skill. Now one question from me If i watch Korean movies in the Korean subtitles what i gonna understand? If i translate all i see that's gonna take so long.

My focus this year is listening and speaking. I can watch a bunch of videos and series but I can't speak very well or even write but I don't care about writing just speaking and listening. (English it is the language I've been learning.

While I agree that these tips are helpful, the premise of "learning like a baby" is kind of misleading. Babies learn how to speak with very little effort because their brains are primed to do so. This is called "language acquisition", and it's an entirely different process than an adult learning a language. This ability fades as you get older, and is generally thought to be gone by the time you go through puberty. This is why someone who learns a foreign language as an adult may still make non-native grammar errors even after years of practice, whereas someone who acquired that language as a baby would not. I'd recommend looking up the critical period hypothesis to learn more, it's a really fascinating area of research.

Hard to take it seriously when a 3:10-minute video takes 1:05 to get to the point.

Before this video, I assumed that I've learned english so fast accidentally and didn't put much emphasis several series that I have watched. No I understand that by being lazy, I took the best path to learn a language :)

Please don’t say 'no novels ' novels make your imagination thrive and evolve. Sometimes, I feel like I’m watching a movie, but in my own way. Tesla’s imagination created the wonders we know today.

Remember about Grammar! Or know you will be as restricted as a baby to think and speak a language!! Remember babies don’t know how to read and they’re intellectually empty (for good and for bad - you’re NOT). Remember “your brain loves patterns” and they are in syntax, just like in computing sciences. Remember Patanjali: grammar is the instrument of the purification of the discourse!! Remember!! Don’t be lazy, don’t be stupid!! Study grammar and you’ll have intellectual material to practice. Don’t be a baby anymore, you are no longer a Baby!! 😁

Yeah! Learn languages like babies do! Listening to the TV with the closed captioning on and looking up everything they don't understand!! Just like... babies... do(??????...tf?)

Wish I have know this in school. They kept telling me I would never learned English, because of me dyslexic. But this was how I learned English, which out knowing I learned it. 😂 Werid to see words I could read in the video well, because it either is my main language or close to it. 😂

Definitely learn grammar, at least the basic level. You won't overthink it, because after you've learned it well it just makes sense. Don't be lazy, you're gonna learn it once and use it forever, the time investment is gonna repay! The immersion is suitable for intermediate levels, you'll have to do it anyway!
