For numbers (phone numbers, credit cards, historical stuff, pi, etc.) First, imagine a 3D space you know. For most people, this will automatically be their home. I will use the house example. 3247589374 -> let's say this is a phone number. First, convert the numbers to words: 2 -> n 3 -> m 4 -> r 5 -> l 7 -> k, g 8 -> f, v 9 -> b, p Now, let's convert the sequences: 324 -> mnr -> minor 758 -> glv -> glove 93 -> bm -> beam 74 -> kr -> cure (c as k) Next, you need to place these words in your imagined space. For example, in the toilet. Imagine these in order: There is a "minor" with "gloves" on his hands, and "beams" coming out of its hands that "cure" your poops. Rule: Always remember from top to bottom. Minor (at the top) Gloves (in the middle) Beams (pointing at the toilet where someone is having a hard time) Cure (helping to poop) The weirder it gets, the better it is. end when you want to remember it, you will just solve it, minor -> 324. it gets so easy over time and for the studying you encode stuff, formulas in the same way, but easier because they are already words.

I can actually remember every single moment in my life, including the test schedules and syllabus of every single standard(8th standard for example) I guess keeping a track of an event as a landmark, and then retracing whatever happened around that event can also act as a valuable way to memorise things Btw for some reason, my brain recalls the name of every single pokemon, their generation, stats,typing,competitive utility and movepool(ig if u like something, u recall it better)

The downside of a memory palace is that you cannot remember the order in which things occurred. A memory street might be more helpful for such situations.
@eraysona

Why didn't you try to create a path that you can always use for short term? and for the long term memorization, you can create a rule, for example you should go from top to bottom on a chunk. "math(top) rat(middle) lap(bottom)" For example I always start from the toilet then go to to hall etc.

Instead of turning numbers into letters and words ultimately to scenarios just associate the numbers to a scenario or imagine each number as a different scenario. You can use this for sentences too, example coal can be classified into different types. Study the keywords like ‘peat’ and picture something associated w it like a swamp every time u read it. So now u have a starting point..since swamps are wet the coal would have high moisture content…etc.

Pattern like? Can you explain it or any example?
@Randint_YT
@Randint_YT 3 ай бұрын
@@Savagee.99 Ok, so for example, if you want to learn formulas for Physics then you can make patterns for formulas, like if you want to memorise the thin lens formula then you can differentiate and relate it with other formulas as well. Like the mirror formula for example, 1/f = 1/v + 1/u (Mirror Formula) and 1/f = 1/v - 1/u (Thin Lens Formula), spot the difference? This is the trick to memorise the formulas... What about the derivations? In ray optics, most of the derivations revolve around things like, Triangles, Property of Similarity of triangles, Snell's Law, Rays of Light, etc. You can memorise it by just understanding the concept and forming a pattern, like making a well labelled diagram first for basic understanding of the derivation, then making connections with variables through Triangles that form due to the ray of light and then derive the formula. It's that simple.

The thing here is about remembrance, but I believe that I must tell because certainly there are people wanting to remember everything in order to pass on exams and things like that... The thing I must tell is: understanding is more powerful and reliable than just remembering things. If you can understand the laws behind the concept and stuff, you can deal and survive almost every issue and situation; things just must make sense. Of course, there are situations that doesn't seem to make sense at all, but they usually do. Also, that's how computers do complex things with considerably low memory: explaining by simple words, there are a lot of simple and atomic instructions and processes that together build up complex instructions; everything is reliable and fast because follow logic and arithmetic laws, and its versatile under different situational parameters. Memory alone isn't reliable towards those situational parameters - even while may be otherwise faster.

The thing is that this definitely works to memorise numbers, but I came here thinking I would be able to learn how to memorise sentences or formulas. I am an 11th-grade student and our chapters are vast now. I remember certain postulates and formulas for some time and move on to the next chapter, and when I revisit that topic, I have already forgotten everything and have to do it all over again. A lot of people have suggested I keep repeating the topic over and over again even when I am done with it but let's be real i have so many topics that trying to repeat them everyday won't work and I will eventually feel overwhelmed

The method of "memorizing" shown in this video is not practical or useful in any way, shape or form and will not help anyone watching excel at their careers, studies or personal goals. If you are in year 11, I'd assume subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry have forms in their tests with most of the formulas you need to know. The ones that are not there are either basic or not viewed as mandatory to present. And if your study is in compliance with the method that is appropriate to this kind of subject at your level (consistent resolution of exercises), you won't need to worry about memorizing after you have done a bunch of exercises that required you to use them. For other, more theoretical subjects, you do not need to memorize letter by letter what is in the book or in the resources provided by the teacher. That is not tangible for most nor appropriate to studying a subject. You need to focus on properly understanding what is being taught, approaching it with an open and multifaceted mind. Instead or reading, writing, repeating. Understand, make schemes, sketches, understand the logic behind what is taught. After you can do that, you will realize that the crucial information is there, understood by your mind. How you connect it will flow, as you write it on the test. With this I am not saying you can't memorize. Some things just need to be, or are helpful if memorized. Just don't obsess about "perfectly memorizing", nor make it your main approach to memorize everything, word by word, number by number. Leave that for the computers. Humans think. And once you start thinking, instead of brainlessly memorizing, you will note an expansion of the mind.

Yes, you have to materialize the thing tho, for example for veins there is a webby layer, imagine a spider web.

@eraysona
@eraysona 2 ай бұрын
no, it won't work. Also you won't be using vowels. look at this example: 39382 = mpmfn see you can fill with vowels now. map mufin -> 🗺️ 🥮 (there are two f in the muffin but it works I guess?) plus 1 looks like t 2 looks like side N 3 literaly side m etc...

Nice question, in my case, I keep important information in a building. for example deep work. I kept information in a barn in my mother's city. written in 2016 -> na*zi touch(ing) (himself) -> in front of the barn --- and it was written that carl jung was doing deep work in a semi-castle, I just imagined that near the barn. etc...

first of all, not everything is meant to be memorized, second, it is same with numbers just use your imagination.
