Best way to mix mud in one of these is a measuring bucket in a bucket of water. I stopped using the customers hose a long time ago. Just fill buckets and I keep the area clean when mixing.

What do you like about the rigid stack vs just the standard pre finished LP?
@promesconstructionl.l.c.8889

@@nrehberg Ridgid stack has a flange on the back that locks the siding in. It's easier to install and the bottom doesn't move. Has a 30 year paint warranty with 2 tone colors.

I hate it. I feel like it screams DIY. You’re making the cuts and YOU are a professional and are capable of making it look professional. I’ve never had a miter open on me and it’s no more work to do it. Same cuts just a 45°

How are you my name's Ben and just to let you know I'm deaf. Mate don't be offended but that looks like shit. I've put a lot of thought into this comment and I don't want to sound smart but that cut looks horrible. You should cut those boards a bit straighter. It looks people have been saying this to you in your comments for a long time but it doesn't seem to be getting better. Anyway practice' makes perfect. Hope this helps.

To be fair - you have to consider guys like this don't get called to the ones still working. They ONLY see failed ones. It like looking for surgery failures online. The ONLY people online with horror stories are the ppl with problems. All the successful patients just move on with their lives.

People seem to think siding is what keeps water out. Siding is just the pretty thing that you look at on the house. Behind the siding is your water resistive barrier, Zip sheathing with tape, Siga Majvest, Tyvek, etc. that is what keeps water out. The house should be able to withstand a rainstorm with no siding on it at all and not leak.

Because the people who do the work is not the person that sold the job and if there is a supervisor they are not the owner of the company. Will bet the owner does t show up to 95% of the jobs his company does. They are there for the money and they are usually the cheapest. Listen up people: cheap is never good Good is never fast Fast is never cheap CHEAP IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!!

Where is ur drip ledge? There should be a peice if flashing behind the siding and overlapping the top of the window frame. I guess leaving a gap is better than nothing but come on $6 on a 12' peice of drip ledge. There is a little tip of the day. Just the tip and only for a minute.

The WRB is brought over that drip cap you see there so water goes behind the siding, down the WRB and out. Siding is just the pretty thing you look at, not what keeps water out of your walls.
