Watching this again as I will need to remove my tank soon. In somebody else's video, when disconnecting the fuel line they say to push the collar in, then push the elbow in, then pull the elbow out. I think that pushing the elbow in will push those tabs outwards. If you then pull the elbow and the collar, the little tabs should get stuck on the retaining ring at the top. The same ring that keeps them from opening when in position. This is all easy to say. I'll see how I get on 😆 If you do break the collars you can get them off of Moto Guzzi part GU01106692. Rather than buying the entire fuel pump from Ducati as that's the only way to get new ones from them!

What size of hot cam shim did u end up using on the valves, this would save me from buying the whole kit and a lot of money, please and thank you
@AlbesADV4 күн бұрын
Hi , the size of the shims varies from engine to engine, it's not standard, it depends on how much the old shims ware out. Sorry

La manguera de drenaje está conectada a la caja de aire, no se quita ninguna de ellas, cuando se quita la tapa, la manguera permanece conectada a ella. Usé el traductor de Google para esto, por lo que no estoy seguro de si es correcto.

Hi, not really, if you can spare the extra money I would recommend a ceramic coating instead of the wrap. Other than that, it's a fairly decent bike, very good for around town 👍

I'm stuck and hope you don't mind me asking yours or any other 525 owners on here a question, i just did oil and filters on my 04 525 no differently than i have previously blowing the screen filters off replacing both filters, orings, copper washers etc after running it for 4 mins or so first but after completing job then refilling oil it's as if my engine has seized as in kickstarter won't push through at all and even in top gear i can't get rr wheel to turn engine over whilst on stand and attempting by hand. I haven't forced it as it was all fine prior to oil change so obviously somethings not right. When i tried button once or twice it just make that solenoid clicking sound around the starter relay. Both fuses are fine, batteries fully charged checked connections but motor just doesn't want to move. When i do a change i flick the button to push last of oil out but only for split second and obviously not let it fire up and also lightly turn over with kickstarter to do same and was no different this time. Bike was running fine beforehand but as i said now feels as if seized as engine won't turn. 100% wasn't started and I've basically gone back through it double checked i hadn't forgotten anything but I'm lost.. not the most knowledgeable with 4 strokes but im wondering if the valves are stopping the piston possibly? It was due for valve clearance check which I've watched 4 million videos on here and was going to do/attempt once I'd finished. Fair to say in hindsight i wish I'd done that first. Any thoughts? Sorry for long rant just wanted to explain as best i could
@AlbesADV24 күн бұрын
Sincerely that is super weird and I agree, turning the engine over should not seize it since all the parts inside are still coated with oil. Sorry I'm not able to help but I can't think of anything that would seize an engine during an oil change other than a loose piece of metal getting stuck inside between gears.

Enjoyed it Albe,, Don't know how you managed in these crazy winds, one of my bikes is a Tenere 700 and being so tall, it is just scary as hell in high winds, you feel like you are not connected at all to the ground, especially on the knobby style tires and being so high up. Do you think you could have had more fun on the Tuono in this trip ? maybe not as comfortable, maybe more stops, maybe travel little lighter, less / no offroad, but i am thinking possibly more fun on a good Italian cycle :):):) Best Wishes
@AlbesADVАй бұрын
The wind got pretty scary at a certain point, especially cause I slowed down into the 50mph and cars & semi were overtaking me creating a lot of turbulence. The Tuono is a lot of fun but I traveled a lot of miles to NM and back, my back would have been killing me 😆😆🧓🏼. BTW I still need to edit 2 more days

Pretty late into this chat 😅 I live in Lompoc and work in Solvang. There are very good places to eat in solvang with probably better sandwiches than where you ate. Sometimes, as a tourist, we don’t have the best luck in finding the good spots. Also, it depends what time you were trying to eat. Some places open kind of late-around 10am or so.
@AlbesADV2 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure there are, most of the places that looked appetizing to me where closed at the time. 😀👍
