The coaxial is nothing great, it’s just an escapement. Too many brainwashed nut jobs thinking it’s high horology. That particular Omega “movement” is nothing beyond any movement that Rolex currently has on offer. The Omega SMP is a middle class piece, and surprising they still haven’t recessed that disgusting wart inside the case. It’s just an ugly, cartoonish piece with childish waves too deeply ingrained into the dial. It’s a casual looking piece, lacking in refinement, lacking in class - it’s not a status piece. The Rolex, is perfect. Only a fool would choose the Omega SMP over a Submariner, given the choice of either as a free gift.

Be careful. This watch displaced all my other watches.

I'd been hesitant to buy a G-Shock until I got a GW-5000U-1ER. I immediately loved it. Back then I thought it'd be only G-Shock, the only one I'll ever need. Now I'm waiting for a GW-5000HS-7ER to arrive at the end of the month. Pretty much the same watch in white. Hope I won't end up buying more G-Shocks 😂

Why would the watch with less taper on the bracelet feel more topheavy?

Picked this up in trade with omega sedna diver chronograph (way too damn big) and picked up the rubber deployant. I actually lovd the sm bracelet but the rubber deployant is so comfortable and looks stunning the silver clasp dresses it up a bit. Frankly irs better looking and wearing than my sd 43 and sub 41 date (sold the sub). The only thing i like better about the sd 43 is the cyclops as i got bad vision

36mm is the perfect size...

Great comparison video. Genault really nailed it with the OC2.5, only downside is the extra large unnecessary KINETIC CONTIUNOUS and massive OCEAN ROVER text which clutters the dial design. Less is more when it comes to this feature and the dial would be perfectly balanced if they got ir right . They actually killed it on the previous Ocean Rover 1dial but fucked up on inflating the text size on the successor like many unneccesary design changes we see these days. Great Design is about keeping the best parts that work and improving the ones that don't. A perfect example is the hideous new BMW designs we see with their enormous grilles.

No they aren't worth every penny. That's a lie. they are incredible inaccurate.

I just ordered the black one. I was tempted to just go with the standard version but I don’t like fingerprint magnets and scratches. I am fine with the standard clasp. The new clasp looks bulky to me. I have a submariner on order so it will be my dressy watch and the Sinn will be my tool watch.

I used to have the 1863 and loved the bracelet. The 3861 was a big upgrade for me over the 1863 because I could see the movement which was a deal breaker for me. Then I bought the New FOIS 2 weeks ago and that completely blows away both of the above speedys in my opinion.

Whenever I first put on my 36 mm watches, they look small at first, and then I adjust. Then when I put on a 40 mm diver after that they inturn look too big, and then I adjust again. And so on…

I'm stuck between blue and green, I'm undecided which one I should choose.

I own a Seamaster and love it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I have three issues with Rolex: (1) They do massive marketing and you pay for that in the price of the watch. (2) They don't keep time well - Ask jewelers who sell both and they will give you an honest answer. (3) Too many people think Rolex is the ultimate status symbol and buy them to impress others. If you buy a watch for yourself, you'll gravitate away from Rolex and toward better value brands.

Try the black Uncle chocolate bar on it in 19mm man. Looks incredible on my SJE093. The bezel is steel with a titanium carbide coating I read somewhere. I believe your alignment can be adjusted by a watchmaker.
