Why would you eat Chinese, Korean, Thai, Mexican, Japanese food, if you are in Italy? You already know that these "ethnic" food are just garbage. If you want good Chinese food you must go to China, for good Mexican food to Mexico... and so on... so it's definitely better to stick to traditional food (that in Italy, guess what, is the Italian one...)

Thank you! I actually did live in Italy for about 5 years. I think if you are retired, it can be enjoyable! Especially if you speak the language. The cost of living is also much lower than here in Canada (depending on where you live, of course). But if you’ve always dreamed of it, I say go for it!

But microwaving the garlic longer than 22 seconds will destroy all nutrients. So what if you use. Regular over….at what temperature and for how long.
@TheModernHippieProject4 ай бұрын
Probably better off using a dehydrator if you have one on hand. Using the oven can be quite time consuming, as you put it on a low temp setting for 4-8 hours.

As a Canadian who lived in Rome for 6 months I was shocked at stolen/counterfeit merchandise being sold on blankets on the sidewalks, the traffic laws are completely ignored, people park triple and quadruple deep, thievery and pickpockets just everywhere. I had a good time but you could not relax in public and must be aware at all times.
@TheModernHippieProject4 ай бұрын
Even outside of Rome! My husband is always on “watch”, and takes lots of precautions with our home and personal safety. Being Canadian, I feel grateful Ive never really had to carry that kind of mental load! It’s stressful and exhausting 🥵

On the eating part - in most of the World, outside of the Anglosaxon World and Continental Europe (of which Italy - as a peninsula - is not a part of) they just eat mostly local food.
@TheModernHippieProject Жыл бұрын
The sum of my experiences have been limited to North and Central America, and then quite a bit of Europe.. It also depends on which cities and parts of the country you see. I would say any country that didn’t live in a decent grow zone would struggle to eat local though.

I have to say i went into this think how absurd to use the microwave...especially seeing how slow you chopped the garlic lol. But....im actually impressed and i feel like you probably only sliced the garlic so slowly to show how fpr those that fpr whatever reason, dont know. I hate microwaves and if my apartment didnt come with one then i wouldnt own one but, i think this will dlsave me money (on gas) and time as opposed to baking at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 to 5 hours. So yeah i have a whole pou d of peeled whole garlic cloves and im gonna have to give this a try. Thanks
