Pssst 👀 there’s a new community going up in the North West side. I need the builder to go back to the drawing board with their starting price (the high 200’s). There’s cows down the street and what looks like a junk yard right by the community’s sign they just built. A kitchen island isn’t standard in a kitchen space that looks like it’s meant to have one, kitchen counter tops start out as laminate, you don’t get cabinets above the fridge as a standard which looks odd, you get half a bathroom vanity’s cabinets in the secondary bathroom. It’s off a two lane road where more homes are being built as well as the new fairgrounds. Sounds like it’s going to get congested back there, this sounds more like a low 200 to mid 200 starting point. If they come to their senses I’ll be reaching out to you for sure. In the mean time my sister is in the market. I’ll be passing your info to her!

They look great but when did $700,000- 900,000 become an affordable option? If that really where we are at because it feels like the upside down world.. I get we all have different ideas of affordable.. but that last house seemed nice but I do see some budget type of feels ever now and then and for I'm guessing close to $900,000 all in... Seems craey keeping up with Jones type of flex to me.. After you put 10% down your around what six grand a month mortgage... And still feel like you made a "budget" option?!? 😂

Raised and lived in Jax all my life. Jax housing prices have gone to crap, locals can’t afford to live or move to nice areas of Jax getting pushed out, because high tax, high cost of living, blue state voting ppl migrating here, ppl keeping their remote jobs from out of state and taking advantage of our once low cost of living and housing, and ease of starting a business…

Any insight as to why homes are being built without a tub? Not sure how they can call it a full bath without a tub, that just seems inaccurate lol. Also, I think these new build homes definitely needs more storage and closet space.

Will they be building anything new communities in the area beside Waterford? I noticed they don't have any amenities at all there. Copper ridge is in the oakleaf vicinity also but its considerd Duval, and I would like to stay in clay county in Oakleaf. Thanks!

Jacksonville is a lot of small towns or communities grouped together to make one big city. As such it doesn't have a big down town where there are great restaurants and clubs. It is basically a big city with a small town feel in some ways. Nothing much going on. The beaches are largely undeveloped as well. Lots of jobs although this is the south so you can expect to make 1/3 less than NE and West coast. Homes are less expensive. Insurance is Very expensive. Even more humid in summer than South Florida. No direct hits from hurricanes but the last couple years have seen hurricanes passing very close so expect tropical storm activity in season. Easy travel to GA, LA, SC, etc. Not a lot of direct flights from Jacksonville airport. Expect to have to fly to Atlanta etc to connect to flights going most places.

Are all of the HOA homes?

Lenar is horrible if you have any issues. I would stay away!

House out of nowhere

As I do more research I'm starting to reconsider Jacksonville my fiancé and I have different views. I wanted to live in Orlando because I didn't hear too much about crime in that area but Jacksonville is within our budget and crime is everywhere it just depends on location. I prefer an area that's less traffic and has great schools.

Im in midwest came from san diego rent way more in san diego and in midwest omaha ne, eau claire wi, etc than Jacksonville...why we moving there in few months plus way more to do than midwest and i hate snow lol
