Thanks, I may try to do this, I want to make a tipper trailer for it too. Here in Australia, we have what we call a Tipper & Dog. I would also like to add twin exhaust stacks behind the cab from some hobby aluminum tubing.

Happy Birthday! yeah, it's worth going to visit. I find it interesting that those tall pine trees form a circle around the landing site and there's not much vegetation growth in the middle area maybe it's just a natural formation. and if you look at the trees they lean away from the center of the playground. Could just be the way these tall trees are but I do find it very interesting. would like to know what type of pine tree they are?

I'd like to add some additional information about another UFO report 2 days before Westall. April 4th, 1966. Burkes Flat UFO. A Maryborough man travelling along 'Bendigo-St Arnaud Road' I think it's the Wimmera Hwy? B240. Witnessed a cone shaped UFO hovering 10feet off the ground in a paddock that bent the direction of his headlights on the car and almost caused him to run off the road. 3 days later a youth died in a car crash near where the UFO had been seen by Mr. Ron Sullivan. So 3 UFO events over a span of 4 days. April 2nd, 1966. Balwyn UFO polaroid photo. April 4th, 1966. Burkes Flat UFO. April 6th, 1966. Westall School UFO. link to newspaper article below, dated 12th April. 1966. trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/128652719 Burkes Flat UFO interview by VUFOA. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZDRaXmdgayegassi=1qmVp3fiYG2HRly9

I hope all is well fam. I have a question to ask: does the fuel can have a pump inside or is it suction fed?
@Craftin.Clever7 ай бұрын
Hi there, its suction fed the mechanical pump on the side of the engine is pulling the fuel up to the carburettor. If your having trouble getting fuel to the carburettor you can gravity feed it just raise the fuel can higher than the carburettor and it will flow down. Just what ever you use as a fuel canister make sure it doesn't leak. Maybe an old motorcycle tank would work OK.

Good video, I just heard about sandblasting and then I just started wondering, can I use this before welding instead of grinding down my material?, I’ll probably stick to grinding it down but at least it shows what it can still do..I might try it on a nice TIG project and see what it would do..
@Craftin.Clever9 ай бұрын
G'day, Thanks. Yes definitely have a go at it even try a coarser grit sand / garnet. I may try it as well as I've always used a grinder wheel of flap disc on my angle grinder prior to welding for surface prep. Actually good idea for TIG because i've noticed when using my TIG if there's even a slight bit of paint or grease make the tungsten tip spatter weld puddle to pop. TIG requires good surface prep clean metal and sand blasting the surface will work quite well, thanks for mentioning that. Also with sand blasting with these hand held gun type of tool please use a good quality respirator don't breathe the dust it is not good for the lungs. And Good pair of safety goggles the sand goes everywhere.

And the module is not needed?
@Craftin.Clever10 ай бұрын
What do you mean by module? Computer? ECU? I think this what you meant by module? This engine just has a mechanical distributor with points and ignition coil. It doesn't have electronic ignition. My other engine has a Ballast resistor stops the coil from burning out I think. Just be careful not to short or burn module I've never tried to start an engine with ECU or Computer module maybe I can learn that next.👍

Wow! What a beautiful original example of a Holden bodied 'O' Series Bedford! It's definitely a 1951 or 1952 model though, not a 1946. The way you can tell... Centre strip in the middle of the grille is painted black whereas pre '51 was chrome, Battery is accessed via screw-fixed panel below passenger door whereas pre '51 was accessed via floor under passenger seat, Gearbox is synchromesh whereas as pre '51 had 'crash' box, Headlamp glasses have flatter convex whereas pre' 51 has a more prominent convex. A very tidy and original example though and great to see that it still has its original Holden built table top as well! You see so many of these restored (and often incorrectly) but nothing beats originality. Well done! Shame about the custom number plates not matching the vehicle though ☹️
