Always put a raw egg into the very hot mashed potatoes. It gets cooked and acts as a binder so it holds together better. Let the balls dry in fridge before cooking. Turns crispier and absorbs less oil. Your oil was not hot enough so now the balls will turn greasy. 1:20 - You forgot to tell us what is in that bowl at bottom with white powder. Assuming it is flour.

Nah, it’s not even the right consistency. I made this just to try it… nowhere near close. Tastes like your average taco stand.

Much easier if you put the meat in the freeze for about 20-25 minutes to firm it up, then super easy to slice.

This was pretty good but tasted absolutely nothing like king taco. My theory is marinating their asada with their verde salsa and a little bit of lime. Im trying it tonight to see how it comes out, since there’s zero recipes online to replicate the flavor. Last time I was there, I noticed the asada tasted a lot like the salsa….so it’s worth a shot.

After living in the U.S. for more than 10 years, Ive moved back to Korea. When I lived in the U.S., whenever I traveled to another city on vacation, I literally used to try all the tacos in that city, but the king tacos are the best. Its the sauce that makes it so special. I'm so happy that I can copy them similarly in Korea. Thank u for the recipe.

I have a theory. Their asada tastes just like this verde salsa. I’m going to try marinating the steak in the actual salsa and see how close the flavor profile is. The asada you have in one of your other videos tastes nothing like king taco asada. I am curious if my method will yield similar results.

have you tried yet? i agree. this green salsa recipe is pretty close but his KT asada recipe is nothing like KT...

Thank you for this recipe! As a fan of King Taco, I know that they strain the sauce. It is also supposed to be very hot and leave me wanting to breath through my mouth. I did strain this and added capsaicin. I must say, it is about as close as it gets to the real thing.

Try roasting the tomatoes and chiles in aluminum foil pocket. It’s way easier to flip and it cooks the tomatoes all the way so they are not roasted on the tops but raw in the middle. Plus if they pop all the juice goodness stays in the foil pocket and can go into your salsa. Also it’s not ideal to use a steak knife to dice onions and cilantro because of the serrated blade.
