her site is amazing! I have and am learning alot from her and have purchased once so far. I live in new zealand and my order came from thailand so it does get costly but oh so worth it, unique and quality not to mention how beautifully packed with wee ty stickers on everything. I also got 2 free gifts. Enjoy your new tools

Indeed, she has very nice things! I also ordered from her. But I live in Europe and if I order, the shipping costs more than the actual stuff 😢. It has to be shiped from Thailand, that is why. It would be wonderfully if she could open a store in Europe, than I would buy all of her stuff 😊

@@user-ey8lx7ij4r unfortunately everything cost a fortune to ship to Europe some of that is Europe’s fault but in any case she used to live in Thailand, that’s why she shipped from there now she lives in Canada so you can order from the website, but I don’t know if that’s much more help. it cost a fortune to ship within Europe to other European countries and from there to here also, but if he ever has a friend visiting from Canada have them order it and bring it to you, i’m it’s still a mystery to most people why China can ship things from China to the US for 30 and $.40 in bulk but we can’t do that for other countries all that cheap TEMU stuff the shipping is almost nothing

Great idea! are there any in particular in the video that you want to learn because they’re all basically the same if you look at the part of the video where I have the different striped sheets of clay you can pretty much tell from the colors of clay. I use how I lined up the clay and for such a small item as earrings you just want to use thin strips of clay of each color and then blend them a little bit, for most people the colors will overlap and blend nicely just because of how handmade works. Just remember, don’t put two colors next to each other that will make a muddy color , like orange, which is red and yellow next to purple, which has blue in it when mix will make a brown muddy color , Stay in the order of the color wheel. Or put white or pearl between colors that you don’t want to overlap.

@@janmontarsi.-blendangles7960 I was refering to the kaleidoscope canes which come into view at around 1:25:38 the part that begins with Cane Slice EArrings- I really love those canes that you are slicing from. I think they are kaleidoscope canes. I wondered if you might teach us how to make those canes: the one with blues and greens and whites. Just love that cane...I was just wondering about that. I love the striped cane system...and yes, definitely important to put the right colors side by side. Thanky you again so very much for your generous shares and teaching. Loving it.

@@carolinehatch7209 multiple furnishings at different points in the whole process actually accumulate to have a really nice surface. Releasing your paper and putting it back down or getting a new paper also helps once the clay is smooth and it’s stuck to the paper there’s tension and it really won’t do much more unless you release the paper and put it back down,burnishing a lot through the whole process

@@MisKandi that cane is from an in person workshop that I teach. Usually as a 2 to 3 day class, but I will tell you this I use one color of blue like ultramarine, and maybe a tiny bit of turquoise and fuchsia clay, and made different blends with white. To make all the components to push into the cane shape. kaleidoscope canning is much more involved. but I would recommend watching Fiona Abel Smith videos as far as the kaleidoscope process she makes it look so easy and simple and it can be. It’s just how involved you make each component that you’re going to add to your cane I believe in all my blends I had at least a tiny bit of fuchsia, even if they were blue blends

May I ask, why is it important to burnish your pieces to super smooth, like the dots? Is it for baking or looks? I'm still new to PC working.
@janmontarsi.-blendangles7960
@janmontarsi.-blendangles7960 Ай бұрын
well, you want to incorporate the thoughts smooth into the clay so that it’s all one sheet you could leave them raised furnishing also per the surface. If you look at most of my earrings that aren’t textured they are perfectly smooth the more times you burnish at different stages in the process, the perfect your surface will be nothing messes up the surface more than moving your clay around while it’s raw. The minute you scrape it up with your blade off your worksurface to put it on a tile you wrinkle the entire surface of the clay. That is why Burnished before I cut my clay earrings and usually after, but always on the tile I’m going to bake at so I don’t have to move the pieces
