Thanks for the review mate. This was invaluable for looking evaluating these units on Facebook Marketplace.

Just on this have you after 2 years of use and it would be longer now if you still have it , have you cleaned the filters ? This is a must to have it run effectively ........ Aslo not sure if you are aware of this but running the aircon on the coldest setting doesn't mean colder air coming out of it , it just means it will work harder trying to get it down to 17 degrees and might not even get there ....... 23 degrees is probably better to give it a chance to cool down then be able to stop the compressor , less electricity ........ Anyway good reviews on this 👍

Please don't trust this review of this air conditioner - I bought one from Facebook Marketplace because of this review and it is next to useless. As a fan blowing cold air it's great but don't expect it to cool a room. I have a 2.4mx2.4m bedroom (TINY) and it can't even do that very well. God forbid I put it in my lounge! AWFUL.

Hi I bought the same unit a couple of years ago. It's filling up at the bottom with water and going on the floor, not much water is coming out of the drain hole when I empty it. Salon when it's running it sounds like there's water running around in it. I clean all the filters but still having that problem daily. I've got to take it into the bathroom, tilt it and the water comes out. I can't find answers anywhere? Would you know what's wrong with it? Thanks
@garfishsmith90377 ай бұрын
Mine developed the same problem, but only on cooling. opened it up and could see any reason for the water to pool in the plastic tray on the bottom, really annoying Its the 2nd one I owned and the first one did the same thing after about a year.

Sadly, I have to agree with the frustrated comment (TC, below). I am battling Fancy Zones (latest version 51.1) on a laptop (lid down, W + P 'Extend' as I cannot get it to stay on External screen only). Using the designated Shortcut W + Shift + Accent, to open the Editor, but having selected a Zone and double clicked, nothing happens, other than the 'ghost' of the selection behind. Leave the Editor and it vanishes. (Latest Build W10 /H2). Incredibly frustrating. I keep feeling there is something glaringly obvious I'm missing but cannot spot it. Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the video, the most important part @6:00 wasn't very clear on how you get the app to switch over to a different monitor to apply the settings there, but i managed to figure it out!!! In windows 10 environment: Right click on the desktop / go to display. Here you will see the actual monitors with number 1,2 etc inside a box. Left click the monitor you want to make changes to using fancy zones, then scroll down to where it says make this my main display and apply. When you re open fancy zones it will then apply to the monitor you selected. Hope this helps!!

@@mythisthat3739 Put short, it uses outside air to cool the condenser, rather than A/C'd room air. Cont. - it then pushes this air (that was just cooled) outside ... creating a vacuum in the room, in which case air (usually warm) is drawn into the room (under the door normally) So recirculated air conditioning can basically never happen. Have a google around for two/2 hose mod portable A/C Or better yet, check this guy out. Alot better explained than I can do kzbin.info/www/bejne/lV7Qc5iPeJd-fcU&ab_channel=TechnologyConnections

Also just wondering, does your model connect to your Wi-Fi network? Because that something that is apparently advertised on the new version. That you can connect to Wi-Fi and use a app on your phone to control it as well as using the remote Control or buttons on the unit.

@mythisthat37393 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Yep it's still going strong, only issue I have is the exhaust pipe material has aged and is starting to split, but that's an easy replacement. The unit itself has been working solidly since, I regularly clean the filters every 2 months or so. It might be loud for some, for me I could sleep with it on no issues. I'd say it would be like sleeping next to a tumble dryer type of volume level wise. Hope that helps, sorry for the 3 week delay reply. Cheers.

FYI there is no coldest setting on an airconditioner. All the temperature gauge does is say "Keep refridgerated cooling going until you reach this temperature then switch off to normal fan or off all together" setting a aircon or even a heater to a higher or lower temperature does not make it cool any quicker.

How does this work with virtual desktops???
@mythisthat37393 жыл бұрын
Good question. Haven't tested that yet. Do you mean running the virtual desktop across multiple monitors with fancy zones running within the virtual machine?
@MrDomingo553 жыл бұрын
@@mythisthat3739 I was not considering virtual PC/Machine OR remote desktop. Windows, Linux and Mac can all give you more than just one desktop. If you have multiple monitors they all are covered by current active desktop, I presume. With zones, maybe one can assign a desktop to a zone so one could view two or more desktops at the same time. A page explaining windows desktops is here: www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-use-multiple-desktops-in-windows-10/
@Sebastian-yn9qg Жыл бұрын
did you figure it out how the zones stay on the designated vritual desktop you chose?
@MrDomingo55 Жыл бұрын
@@Sebastian-yn9qg Unfortunately, no. I found this feature interesting but even though my monitor is 32", I make do with basic functionality that gives me two apps side-by-side, and this feature does not need the PowerToys Zones. Maybe Zones would be usable if monitor was 40" but then nowadays one cannot find a (TV) screen of that size that is 4K resolution. They used to be available but what is offered now is 1920x1080 at that screen size, so not for me. One needs to go to 45" and more to get 3840x2160 and while 40" computer screen is usable, it is the limit for something that sits 1/2 metre from user. 45" would be too big.
