I grew up with a first nations friend and she always referred to herself as an Indian but we both agreed that if a person is not First nations, they shouldnt use 'Indian' as that referred to someone from India or of Asian Indian descent. So if you are First nations call yourself anything you want. If you are not First Nations be respectful and use - First Nations, Inuit, or Metis.

As a Japanese who stayed there for a year, I was very surprised by their politeness and attentiveness. I had expected them to be jovial and talkative, just like Americans. They are a little shy just like us. And they have a warmth that we don't have lol

Grow up young lady, taboos go both ways I'm from Canada as well living in the states. Canada needs to observe the taboos in the states as well. asking someone their age is not a problem grow up lady. we need to love one another not put endless taboos on people I'm a pastor and believe in the love of God in our countries which I learned in Canada believe it or not. learn about the love of Christ Jesus first than lets come together as one people in Christ . God bless Both America and Canada.

Both people will say sorry even when only one person was the one that bumped into them or got in the way, I realized this wasn’t normal everywhere when I left the country to visit another and no one said sorry or even turned around when I or they bumped into me there😭

Though I don’t think we use sorry because we want them to apologize, or at least I don’t. I just view it as being polite and apologizing for being in the way, its just kind of automatic for me.

Slang is good for plebs. Evolved people don't speak that way, even if they are from Canada. It's ridiculous to speak like a two year old kid. I have no idea, why people do this, it's not"cool"/"dope"at all, even if they think it is. I mean, perhaps you find it attractive, if you don't have IQ higher than a dolphin( no offense to dolphins), but an octopus, for instance, definitely would not use slang
