When I was a child I always ate apple, cherry, pear, fig, plum and etc fruits on the tree and never come down from the tree all day, that seems not likely to happen now.

Honestly, I can't recall if I've seen this exact grammar structure in an English textbook, but it is something that native English speakers use a lot when talking about their past habits😊.
