very cool video sifu! i am a former student of yours and i am trying to get back into slowly but surely. i'm nearly out of high school and am in dire need of self discipline in my life, as i am in the twilight of my senior year in high school. You've been a massive positive influence on my life. -Jonah

Sifu, thank you for sharing. I work in a sedentary profession (HR) so I find just doing these movements a few times a day during the daily grind, keeps my knowledge of wing chun going and physically I find it refreshing.

Lokk friends I just had another quick look at this..I give credit where it is due. My former teacher still alive and teaching taught Bruce on the basics and Siu Nim Tau form. He started two years before Bruce it was his duty to help the juniors at that time. Wong Shun leung a senior to my Sifu had his own club in Hong Kong and Bruce coming back from the USA went for instruction at the club. as it became difficult to carry on with his training at GM IP Man's school. Bruce never stopped practicing getting guidance from WSL up until his death. They remained close Bruce wanted so much to get my teacher and WSL on the film set. This video of Bruce is basically IP Man's system of Ving Tsun as shown the last part is just photos linked nothing to see there you can see he has modified what he does..

This is awesome. Been doing Wing Chun 8 months. I love it and love your videos. Serious question: What is Wing Chun’s answer to grapplers, in avoiding takedown and what to do if you do get taken down? Thanks
@sifuadamwilliss15 күн бұрын
@@charlesburger7973 Here’s the truth-Wing Chun is about stopping the fight immediately before it ever goes to the ground. In my 30 years of experience, I’ve seen it: less than 5% of realistic fights actually end up on the ground. You’ve got to remember that this is self-defense not sports. Wing Chun’s answer to grappling is simple but effective-maintain your structure, control the space, and shut down the takedown before it happens. And if you do hit the ground? You’re not out of options. Wing Chun teaches you how to fight smart, use leverage, and get back on your feet fast. It’s practical, it works, and that’s why I’m so dedicated to sharing it with others!

@sifuadamwilliss18 күн бұрын
@@JudgedreddRICE Are you asking a question? If a question, i would try to get you to think in more offensive terms. In other words, which allows you to get to their center quickest rather than a more defensive approach that worries about defending things that haven’t happened yet.
