@@abc1234567892226 The proper code should give the manufacturer description of the solenoid. just FYI. before you pull the belt, you are supposed to advance the crank 50 degrees so that the cams line up with the 2nd "T" mark before you put the new belt on per Toyota factory instructions (I just did this job this weekend and have the factory manual). Also, don't crank it backwards, go forwards 2 turns - you have to do that anyway to ensure you got it right.
@griffzillagarage
@griffzillagarage 15 күн бұрын
@@spinnetti yeah that’s what the FSM says. It’s funny because every time someone mentions those tease to me in this video. I had no idea what they were talking about until I was recently checking the timing on a Lexus and happened to notice them. I use to work at Toyota and I standby the way I did it. When your good, your good, and when your damn good, you don’t need to crank it over two times. I treat timing chains like the one I just did on a Ford 3.5 EcoBoost and Jeep 3.6 the same way (and I’m Ford certified and Level lll Mopar certified! I used to do short blocks on Honda Civics and the only test drive I gave them was out to the parking lot; I wake up and piss excellence 😂 thanks for commenting. I hope you learned something.

Step 1: Undo the FILL BOLT first! Always! What if you drain out 4 qts of fluid and only then realize that the fill plug is stuck or cross threaded????? What then?
@griffzillagarage
@griffzillagarage 17 күн бұрын
@@Laika052 you’re absolutely right! In fact, that’s what I tell the technicians at my shop all the time! I hope they don’t watch this video. I think the reason I didn’t remove the fill plug first on this vehicle is 2 reasons; first, I just forgot, the second being that I’ve never had a problem with a 15/16 Toyota filler plug. to answer your “what if”?, I’d figure out a way. If it was stuck, I would use an air hammer on it; you can check out some of my shorts to see that approach in action. If it was cross threaded, I would simply get it good and dry and use The Right Stuff to seal up where the bolt comes up against the body of the transmission; there’s no pressure there so that would hold just fine. thanks for checking out the video and bringing that to my attention. I just added that to the description and gave a special thanks to you for pointing that out.
