I want to replace my belt tensioner and the CR pump belt. The instructions show that the tooth with the green dot should be in the same position. However, when I turn it, the belt tightens and then loosens. Is it possible that I installed it incorrectly and broke the tensioner? Is it enough to install it in the position shown in the video/instructions, turn it to one o'clock and then to three o'clock, then the dots will match?

@@marcelmartyna3833 when I originally did it, I tried to turn to 1 o’clock and it put too much stress on the tensioner and it felt like it was going to pop and loosen up. I only moved to the 3 o’clock position and tightened it down to spec. All marks were lined up at this time; except for that green dot you’re talking about I don’t know what that dot/mark that is.

@@griffzillagarage If you tightened the tensioner too much would it break? The Audi specification states that the green dot should match with tooth.

@@marcelmartyna3833 two things the first thing is that the Audi Volkswagen instructions are pretty crappy; at least they are to me. The second thing I have no idea what green dot you’re talking about.
