We knew the day would come when we'd have to say goodbye to some of our stalwarts. Let's be glad Douglas Luiz was a fantastic Aston Villa player for 5 years.

Ramsey is a "free player" for CL registration purposes as well as he's 'club grown'. If we sell Ramsey we lose a senior player for CL essentially.

23.7 mill up front. If illing J becomes even 20 mill and Barra becomes 20 mill. Then the deal is around 63.7. personally I think Illing will be a 40/50 mill player in a year or 2

@@ForTheLoveofPaulMcGrathPodcast I meant if they become 20 mill in value in a year or 2. Then the deal would technically be worth 63.7 million.

I like both of these! Very high ceilings and already pretty experienced at such young ages. Illing is versatile, can play LB, LWB, LW, and Enzo is a proper 6. We don't have a 6 whilst Kamara is out, and it's cost us. I'm excited about these 2. As for Kayode- guy is a baller! Get it done

I think Big Tim will improve the Everton squad. He also has the makings of a Dyche player
@GorgeDawes5 күн бұрын
Tim certainly will have a much better chance of first team football at Everton, if he wasn’t getting minutes in the midst of our late-season midfield injury crisis then he probably wasn’t ever going to. It’s a sale that makes sense. Not sure what Dobbin brings to us, to be honest, but I’m prepared to trust that Emery and associates know what they are doing.

This so called faux outrage over exchange of agreed transfer fees between two clubs, who put a value on their respective young players heads. It is neither shady nor wrong IMO it is between the clubs and as in most cases there are negotiations unless its a straight up agmt. It does make me think of a pet peeve and that's I think is shady and thats the 'outrageous' fees that sit outside of the official transfer fee. Example: this happens less frequently, agents picking up commissions from both clubs OR a typical Transfer structure example: Official Transfer fee: Haaland 52m + Commissions agent Mino Raiola 50m and Haaland's father 40m. Total cost of transfer: 142m amortized. This is NOT a pick on City attack, as all transfers big or small follow a similar path. Its just one of the easiest, most well known to use an an example. Why is this allowed? It seems to me there is a conflict for the agent vs,l the players well being AND the clubs. I would bet good money there are more fees and such hidden across the board, it is football afterall.

Very good guest, really enjoyed this podcast, interesting and informative, especially being someone who watches the big games from Italy, but don't follow the league and all the ongoing dramas like the Premier league, so it was good to get a run down of what's been going on in Italy and his opinion on the possible additions coming to villa 👍🏻

Love these videos! Completely unrelated to the topic, but with the rumor that Forest might be in for Bogarde and our preference for swap deals I had a look at their squad. Do you think we’d have any interest in Andrew Omobamidele?
@Lioness_UTV11 күн бұрын
I don't hold Weston's poor season with Leeds against him, it happens. I saw him play well and then poorly. What does concern me is his attitude thru his whole career including Leeds, Juve and his US team etc These stories persist and now these latest delays (if true) sums up my reservations about him. My spidey senses are off the charts with him and I for one am keeping my fingers crossed he goes to Spurs.

Afternoon Neil. Can’t help thinking FFP has forced us to take this deal and we are loosing a top talent and gaining two prospects and €20-25m. Seems Juve are getting the better of us in this instance, as are Chelsea with the high fee for Maatsen but he is a good player with plenty of growth still. Still think we are lining up a big signing this window after 1st July, as per the last two windows I would love to us go all out for Goncalves. In addition, Todibo and we are almost there

@amlmorris12 күн бұрын
Tranfermarkt have Mckennie's value at €28 million & Enzo's at €7.5 million, that's a €20.5 million difference which on top of the €20 million is €40.5 million on top of the 2 players coming our way. I don't see us getting it & i believe we're selling ourselves short on Dougie, he should've been worth £70-80 million with midfielders at a premium nowadays.
@Javo_AV12 күн бұрын
Whilst I definitely prefer this individual signing over McKennie, I was hoping that we would be making a statement signing at DM in July; Someone along the lines of a Youssouff Fofana, some who can also play alongside Kamara, when Kamara is back fit. I personally saw McKennie more as a RB option, who can also provide cover across all the midfield spots. And I seen Youri and Barkley as the Luiz replacements. Enzo coming in suggests to me there is no other DM coming in, as I doubt he signs if he isn't assured of some game time at this stage of his career, and we cannot stockpile players - we are still in serious need of getting rid of squad bloat (Coutinho, Dendonker, Chambers, Olsen, plus one of Digne/Moreno for Maatsen, Carlos - if we are signing a new CB, probably Cash if we are signing a RB, as well as loaning out Sousa and probably Nedeljkovic?). CM: Tielemans, Barkley DM: Kamara, Enzo Then obvously McGinn can cover both too when needed & also Youri & Ross can play together, like Luiz/McGinn/Tielemans did last season if needed - surely we don't have injuries woes as bad as last season? Surely!? :| I have my concerns with Enzo being the sole DM whilst Kamara is out given the inexperience and Kamara is potentially out till the new year?

I'm liking the look and sound of this guy. Between him and the Iling-Senior lad they could be a couple of very astute signings
@AlistairHamblin12 күн бұрын
Personally incredibly excited for this one (maybe even more excited than Iling-Jr), it’s a young talented DM who has the ability to have an incredibly well rounded profile at the top level with Emery’s guidance. Could be a mad shout but i sat down and watched two games of him, and a few comps and he reminds me a-bit of Rodri. Makes me rest easy that when the Real Madrids and Barcas most likely do come for Kamara, we can mould this bloke into that position to make that eventual deal sting a lot less.

feel villa are selling low luiz really is £80/100m all day but going for £60m this kid £20-£25m illing £20-£25m maatsen £37.5m all 3 hardly any experience but high fees we say £40m for duran and suddenly it’s to much just want the psr moves done
