As a spurs fan i wouldnt be too disappointed with your performance. its the best a team has played against us under Conte in that first half, the only other time weve been beaten at open play xg under Conte was against chelsea, even man city and liverpool we created more than them. We were very lucky to be 1 nil up at half time and although your defence didnt do well at all, we played a similar way in the second half against west ham with long balls for kane to header up to Son so they are defensive mistakes even higher up sides like west ham can make

We don't learn lessons Asin. It happens all the time. At Wolves last week, the second we lose possession we're in trouble.

I know he’s (SG) not going to be able to replace the whole team come the summer, but it’s clear he’s inherited a team of players that some of which he doesn’t desire, and more importantly an ethos that isn’t his, I believe he wants to be honest and say “this team is NOT the team I want and doesn’t represent my style!” but he doesn’t as he needs the players on side, if he gets the money and HIS players fail then we can start looking at SG but for now we need to right this season off as a “transition season” and await next season to see what happens!.

Gerrard needs to play McGinn further forward ideally playing just behind the striker[ s] and needs to encourage with a formation /system that allows Coutinho and McGinn to link up play partnership UTV

Agree. Would make such a difference having mcginn setting the tone more upfield, hassling and shooting. I reckon he'd be our leader "in that half" dragging a performance out of our attackers

Hopefully Nakamba back for Leicester he will just sit in front of the centre backs Luiz goes forward to much which leaves us open for balls over the top.

Just about to watch Neil. Stupid as it was I could watch that 1st half again and I will but by god, like you said, as soon as we lose possession we look like conceding all the time and lessons aren't being learnt. Gerrard, get Nakamba fully match fit before Leicester PLEASE!

I think I want Gerard gone in the summer. I don’t believe that he can build a team to challenge for top 7 and I fear that he will lumber us with older expensive signings with little resale value. And I worry that he will struggle in the 1st half of the season and get sacked by Christmas, so I’d rather not give him a war chest and just look for a good manager now. Only Ramsey and Cash have really improved under Gerrard, with the rest of the squad regressing or at best stagnant. The two 10’s or two 9’s have only worked in short bursts and the midfield 3 have been proved to be the wrong blend and yet he doesn’t change it. He constantly suitably blames the players and takes no accountability himself, he talks about styles of play, but we never see it. He’s had plenty of breaks due to Covid, internationals and the mini winter break to spend time with players and yet nothing improves

I understand your frustration, but let’s not forget that SG has signed 2 players, that’s it, and the dressing room was toxic AF with players taking advantage of DS good nature, there are too many passengers in that team and too many adverse to change!.

@@britishmick if that’s the case why does he keep playing the same players, also players that are his favourites (McGinn) always play, no matter what.

@@tofuteh2348 I honestly think we will all want him out by Christmas, I do not see any real shoots of progress. So I’ll d rather replace him in the summer before we give him 100m to spend on players and we waste another season with no progress. We should be identifying a manager quietly in the background now.
