My light goes through every object on it's way it doesn't stop at the surface! i tried the include exclude options it still didn't get fixed! Any ideas on how to fix it?

i actually see less geometry in 1st model 3:55.

You have covered selection sets and groups, what are the other two types of object association? I am trying to find out how to add new polygons to an existing object, how is that done?
