That's a single point injection, not carb and those wires are for it

The car will look fantastic with new bumpers! I've read that it's a good idea to apply a UV filter to the plastic to stop it deteriorating from the sun.

I am using a 2K paint, now sure if cellulose based. Super resistant in fact, I choose it cause does mot require varnish

Thx for the tip, I cannot set the pressure on the compressor nor gun therefore I used 6 bars, this is the reason for the high speed of my hand.

I painted some body parts of my R5 (it was the same colour as yours), but I used a piston-type spray gun which wasn't suitable for this type of paint. It worked better with a compressed air spray gun.

Yeah man...one valve was tucked in the valve giude and then the pusher got bender when trying to move the valve...it was a complete mess.

Depending on the area I also used some rust neutralizer but I mainly tried to remove it mecanically

I had to take mine apart like that, when I had a leak from the heater martix! I opted to hose down the whole interior of the car to get rid of the leaked antifreeze, as I was worried it would rot the paint. I also washed all the carpets & upholstery!

Just one thing though- did you skim the head at all and/or the top of the block? probably not necessary, but I did notice some pitting on the top of the engine block!

I did not, the cost was pretty high. The pitting are in some area where there is no tightness. Seems to work fine!

Agreed, it's usually recommended to change the cylinder head bolts, because apparently they are special 'stretch' bolts which can only be used once...

The logical explanation is that cause of the tempo they are deforming(getting longer) and then the torque values are not repetitive from a screw to another.

@@danoros4614 That's right! When I serviced the cylinder head of my VW Polo, they told me I must replace all the bolts when I re-assembled it.. But that cost quite a lot!

Whatever you do, check the cooling fan to make sure it rotates freely! If it seizes up, it will short out & could cause a lot of damage to the electrical system!

Did s, also tested it to see if the sensor is giving start input and it seems to be fine

@@danoros4614 This happened to me, the cooling fan seized-up & short circuited. Because it is not protected by a fuse, the wires got hot & the whole wiring loom went into mentdown! I needed to replace the whole engine harness!
