My gerbils have always been fat and happy. Then, my daughter and I lost heat and we all moved, then we had to go on a little trip and had to move their enclosure while we left. So, their enclosure was moved twice in a week before going back to their original place. Now they’re home, but they’ve both started thumping quite a lot which they NEVER did before, the friendly one who loved to come out and chill with me won’t come near me to be handled, and that same one has lost weight (he was quite chunky so he still looks healthy but still). I’m so bummed cause I feel like I’m starting over.

Is cotton bedding ok? I always used this for my hamster, and it works amazing with burrowing! I don't know if it's toxic for Gerbils. I was planning on getting a hamster, but Gerbils seem fun too, and I would like to have more than one animal. Is there really a big difference in hamsters and Gerbils? My hamster died a week ago and I did gave it a hamsterscaping and a big terrarium. Carefresh is really expensive in my country so I rather not buy those.

One of my two gerbils are always bitting. Hiting a cage with nose, or cage base, scraching with his nails. When ever hes out on the couch, when he see my skin he bites. He was a little agressive when we got them. Hes not biting only when i give him a sunflower seed.😢 idk how to get him to trust me

hi my gerbil got sick. She just lies there with his eyes half open, and when she walks, he twists the back of his body. Would you be able to tell us what to do because there is no veterinarian in my area who would treat rodents. I haven't seen her drink or eat yet, and she lets herself be petted for a long time, even when she ran away in the past. (I have a friendly relationship with her and she trusts me, so she was walking on my hands). She is 2 soon as well.
