Awh, I love seeing all the different ways everyone sets up their enclosures 🥰

Thank you so much for your great videos! One thing about wood shavings. I have a pink-eyed-white gerbil who can only handle very clean paper bedding. Anything else gives him a red nose (porphyrin) and then I have to bring him to the vet for treatment. I make my own paper bedding by purchasing new unprinted newsprint paper and then putting it through a shredder. I do put in layers of timothy hay which helps him burrow, but he can't handle any wood (and I've tried kiln-dried aspen). I do appreciate your comments about having a lot of space, using dividers to keep the wheel, water bottle, and food bowls from being completely buried. I also agree with you about cage toppers for aquariums. I live in the Midwest and no matter how much I cool my home, a glass tank just heats up and in the summer, that's not good for gerbils. I was able to buy a Savic XL Gerbil Habitat for one of my living-alone gerbils and she LOVES it. I hope it is sold again in the U.S. so I can get one for my other living-alone senior gerbil. It has the wire topper, a long shelf (which I cover with a hay mat), space for an 8" wheel, and a deep place to burrow.

Thanks for the follow up! Maybe you can try adding carefresh and/or kaytee clean&cozy (in natural or pure white-no add ins) mixed in to help hold burrows!

OKAY GRAPHICS and CAMERA QUALITY! We see you! Also thanks so much for mentioning the separation when declanning. Cupcake and Apothic recently have been going through “gerbil menopause” and we are bonding them together again. Having the wheel space easily accessible was crucial because Apothic used that to escape Cupcake’s chasing! Also thanks for showing my enclosures 😘 I need a camera like yours because the difference between an iPhone and your camera (what is it???) was so obvious. 🤪

I film and take photos with a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera! I am also using a manual macro lens from Neewer most of the time. I would recommend the Sony a6400 if I am being honest because it has more screen movement. The best advice I can give you is to buy mirrorless cameras for KZbin. They’re a compact version of a DSLR, and I love them even more than DSLRs if I’m being honest.

they can live together but if they're continuously fighting, they have to be separated ☹

Hei Shine :) You didn't show my enclosure and I wanted to ask if I send it to the wrong Email adress? I accedently made two Emails because I forgot to show something in the first one. I just want to know, so I can send it to the right adress next time 😁
