hi im thai and those giant statues are actually depictions of a race of demons called “giant” they actually usually have fancy magic weapons and there’s one famous giant named ทศกัณฐ์ who in the thai version of the myth is usually depicted with 20 arms and multiple faces :3 just saying in case you wanna take inspiration or something a war dancer made from multiple failures stitched together to create a multiple faces n arms abomination sounds pretty in character for these churches :3

I really love your ideas, imagination, drawings and that almost everything is to some degree known and explainable by the wolds inhabitants. I *personally* think that a little bit more uncertainty in the higher powers or deep-rooted mechanisms of this universe would make it ... weirdly more alive more engaging. Like for example not really knowing where mana originates from, or different smaller groups like hamlets and small cities all having there own theories and ceremonies to explain and ward of evils like you did with the witches and the tower origins. Even the explanation after you said: " they don't really know how witches are createt" sounds...too logical it is to believable, when people make assumptions and theories (especially when they have very little knowledge about something) they tend to feel more surreal unbelievable like medieval ghost stories or every single urban legend, oh you slept bad..must be vampire, you feel ill? did you see a horse in the woods? Too bad cursed. This world feels too accurate in my opinion. Still love everything you come up with though. Thx for being awesome.

I made the following post, which is why someone linked me to you; I'll include it here, in case it's of interest: Spell casting as an infection. While you are infected, you can cast spells, but irregularly, and your abilities and powers shift regularly each day and from day to day (just as your mood and capabilities shift during a real infection). It’s always somewhat unpleasant, and you can build up immunity to magical infections, meaning its hard to re-infect you with magic for a year or two. Magical vaccines are used for controlling criminals or timing the re-infection of the most powerful spell-casters. Most countries have a small group of immuno-depressed elite wizards, kept in isolation and ready to be infected with magic at critical moments. Economists are occasionally listened to, but epidemiology is the elite social science, as they can predict when magical abilities will be available in society, and who will have them (and, of course, some of the epidemiologists enhance their abilities with occasional magical foresight). Variants of the magical infection are studied with great attention, as they can sometimes spawn extra powers (and some years, just extra unpleasant side-effects).
