thanks Alan, another great job! Nice work with the modelling, materials, lighting and cameras. Keep up the good work!

Looks incredible, as always! Question, do you have any specific process when designing these tracks or is it a "just go with the flow" kind of thing? I've bought the marble track set but I'm having trouble coming up with my own tracks.
@alan__lukАй бұрын
Just go with the flow like we played Lego when we were a child. Using more turns, tunnels and the special blocks can make your design more interesting.

With a car and a ball, you can make a video with a plot where the ball is chasing the car.

It would be fun!

Some familiar parts for interacting with the marbles there ;-) (The conveyor belts can be tricky!) The contrast between the gray-ish and the color of the marbles looks nice.

Man, it is animated so good there isn’t any phase through with the car and it’s not just all Bézier curves l, it’s got like actuall feel of it driving on it. Never seen this before keep up the good work!

There's a couple of hotwheels diecast racing channels that do this, but this is ten times more visually appealing. Would be really interesting if you could manage to turn this into a championship!

I just brought your model, it's pretty, but how can I export the whole thing(like in the video), and export it to unity? I'm making a game but struggling so hard, please, really need some help..

Hello, I'm interested to buy your Marble Race Kit from Blender Market. But do you have tutorial, I mean complete tutorial from install them in Blender, animating, until render and make the complete video race?

I won €2 last week with Euromillions. But this is way cooler! 😊

Nice video, Alan. The wealth of detail is impressive. 30fps isn't a problem. The problem is the rendering time I'm trying my best to improve my videos while learning blender in my spare time.

How long did this take to render?

Hi @alan_luk looooove your work. Can you discount the kit(s) for education? I want to use it/them with my Year 9 students but the school is far too tight to pay for it. Any chances of a discount/freebie?
@syarasdsalrial19533 ай бұрын
whats ur subdivision per frame? and the interation,also how long does it take for you to bake and render in cycles,thanks for the answer 😁😁
@alan__luk3 ай бұрын
Substeps per frame and iterations are both 30. Baking took only a few minutes but render took almost 2 days. Each frame took around 20 seconds.

Well Alan, what can I say? Always a fan. I thought the conveyor was neat starting iut of the gate, then you added a couple more surprises. The gift that keeps on giving.

Another amazing animation Alan ! Did you use the same friction, damping and bounciness as usuall for this one ?
@alan__luk3 ай бұрын
Thank you! The setting is the same. I only increased the bounciness of the jump block to 3.

very nice work Alan, keep it up! Great material treatment on the marbles. Love the conveyor belt. And the bounce pad, variable bounce strengths, how did you do that?
@alan__luk3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I didn’t change the bounciness in purpose. In fact the bounciness setting is so buggy that the result is different every time😅

Thanks for trying 60 fps! Although I feel like it's not animated at 60 fps, especially in the shot at 0:42, or am I wrong? It just doesn't feel as smooth as I'd expect it to be at 60 fps 😅 Really like the yellow-green color of the marbles and as accent in some of the blocks 👍
@alan__luk3 ай бұрын
It is animated at 60 fps but I found it too slow when editing the video. So I made it 150% faster. Maybe that’s the reason?🤔
@GG-08083 ай бұрын
This is so co. There are so many new and amazing contraptions. My favourite was the new lifter design. An idea for a part is a bridge that gets knocked over when a marble hits it letting the marble cross, then raise again for the next marble.
