I would prefer the community remake than the the oficial remake

honestly i would play both, skyblivion have an advantage, because it will be free and i already have skyrim and oblivion, and the oblivion remake will probably be full price game

At this point Bethesda is just basing their production on stopping the modding community

Console player here. Skyblivion looks fantastic, but I'll never get to play it myself. I'll happily take a remaster. This is different than the FO4 patch that broke London, these are separate products. PC players get a choice, which is always better than no choice.

I love the idea of skyblivion but its not their IP Bethesda can do whatever they want with their products.

Skyblivion will be made with detail and care, the Oblivion Remake will be a fresh coat of paint on a disheveled duplex.

I just dont trust Bethesda anymore. I trust the modding community though. I already know which version I'm excited for.

If they didn't remake it in CE2 with new assets, and just took the Halo CE anniversary layer new graphics over it approach, I'm just not gonna be interested. Ill wait for Skyblivion

Oblivion is my favorite Bethesda game of all time. I so hope they do a good job. I’ll play both remaster AND skyblivion

The coming Oblivion remake/remaster was leaked years ago so no I doubt this is to stop skyblivion. The reason for the delay is of course the pandemic and games always do miss their initial launch windows. I personally can't wait for the official Oblivion and all the mods people will make for this game.

Except Skyblivion will be unplayable on console, and both existing does no damage to PC players that are getting it for free from people that made it as a hobby. Not that it won't be great, but anyone not playing on PC won't get to play it. As for the Game pass mod app: there's no way Microsoft do all the work of getting a Creations type mod launcher and don't charge for mods. They'd be leaving a boatload of money on the table working on a project that launched free content.

Lol this comes off as BGS being SUPER SALTY about the modders refusing to fix Shartfield for them.
