It's crazy how some say the stock market will crash, while others push investing in it. Is it an oxymoron or a paradox? Thinking of putting over 150k in, but need solid risk strategies. Thoughts?"

You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.

I received a sizable inheritance in January. I struggled with this question. I invested most of the money over a 2-month period. I'm currently up 10% overall for the year, so I'd say that's a win. An important thing to consider is if you have a brokerage account that offers a cash holding fund making 4.5%+ yield, the cash is working for you at a good rate while you make decisions on what to invest in for higher returns.

Since 2014, I’ve built a portfolio made up of 30% NVDA, 25% SCHD and over 40% in digital and alternative assets, thanks to my CFA. This strategy has helped me earn $56,000 a year in dividends. The FTSE 100 is also up 14% well HSBC FTSE 100 is that super risky to? The FTSE all world is up 17% is that risky to ? The Russell 2000 Index is up 8% is that risky? The aim is to have something that goes up each year or over time that's why it's not risky if a few companies push the index up then so be it You also forget that while some stocks like tech are up even if tech traded sideways other companies can up the Index up that's in the USA The FTSE 100 is always up as the FTSE pays dividends the way you analysed the s&p 500 is backwards It's less about what the index does because any return is a good return. It's about not getting stuck in a bias towards one sector, one stock or one country Claiming to be a investment expert while being a KZbinr is funny , many of these KZbinrs don't even have 1 million invested all spew the nonsense that you should invest for 50 years until your old and can't walk then you might have some money

Politicians will be drooling over that amount of power out of arms reach or will they throw their morals away to become just common thieves even thieves think only scum partake in such activities the lowest scum .Once pensions are classed as benefits the trickle will become a deluge and cash grab or robbery will be in full swing. I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

@@VioletJessica- The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?

Hypothetical questions. Say someone is on a 45k basic. But then earns 1k commission for 9 months of the year. Does the 40% happen on month one when commission is earnt. Does Hmrc see this comms as every month and then you get a rebate? Trying to work this out so I can pay more into pension to take me below the 40% (on the amount over £50,000***. Sorry for the long question. Thanks!

Nice and clear thx! Can you explain if i get pay rise from £17.5/h to 18, why my weekly wages only go £3.5 higher after tax, and £35 higher before tax? I am done 48 hours in a week, so this is not adding up. Thx
