That loop knot is called the 'Lefty Kreh' knot here in the states. He was a renowned fly angler. Good video, THX.

Hi Mate Have you tried the PR knot? For 40gm metals what size leader would you recommend? 30lb?

@leewood509 I don't think I have tried the pr knot will have to give it a run👍 yes for 40 gram + I would go 30lb as often metals sink faster over reef and weed and more likely need a bit of grunt to pull them out also if im using metals it's usually because of the wind and the heavier leader is less likely to snap on a wayward cast

Good tips man. I love gold lures, especially for tailor in the late arvo. I find red lures work hell good when it's hot but in the cold shitty days dark lures and my theory is it has a stronger silhouette. Just my thoughts. All the best !

@gino55yo ideally if you have a few different weights you can change lures to sed what works best for the conditions. For example on windy days yoy might need the extra weight to cast out or if heavy swell. 10g is good for herring if you can get the lure in the target area for sure 👍

I really struggled all last winter so I've been hibernating this winter waiting for spring.... might have to get out there and ping some lures at any bit of structure I see. A casting video would be good and, selfishly, an in depth winter tips and tricks video would be great too.

Solid fish I caught a 45 under a popular bridge in the mid to upper reaches on motor oil slim swim 1/16 jighead 4lb leader also caught a 38.5 and a few others I was stoked

I went upstream targeting bream but no structure so I targeted flathead on the sand with slim swims hopping along the bottom and got around 7 or 8 flattys some high 40s models on 4lb super light
