I have sat here and tried this 100x and do step by step and long as I pull both lines amd tag ends everything is correct but soon as I only pull the leader line the line slips right out of the cinch what am I doing wrong. I came to the conclusion ima just tie a barrel swivel to main braided line and mono or flo to the other end of swivel and call it a day cuz this not working for me

You need to try twisting the line the oppisite way from the start

I love this knot, I use it all the time for making pre-snelled hooks and leaders and then I use a cow hitch knot to attach it to my swivel. I find that this particular loop knot is one of the few loop knots that works well with heavier monofilament leader line.

Albright / Alberto ? Looks the same ?

@feegureeetout 5 ай бұрын
Maybe the inventors name was alberto albright?😁
@carpfishinglab
@carpfishinglab 5 ай бұрын
Hi @kencleg7721! 😊 Great question! The Albright Knot and the Alberto Knot are indeed similar, but they have a few key differences: Albright Knot: This is a traditional knot used to connect two lines of different diameters or materials. It's tied by wrapping the thinner line around the loop formed by the thicker line 10 times and then passing it back through the loop. Alberto Knot: This is a modified version of the Albright Knot and is often used by anglers to connect braided line to a fluorocarbon leader. The main difference is that with the Alberto Knot, after making the initial wraps down the loop, you make additional wraps back up the loop before tightening. This provides extra security and strength. I hope this helps clarify things! Happy fishing!

Those whinging about not showing how the knot was tied, look at it. Double the mono, wrap the braid like you see, down and back on its self, follow the main line back out. Wow that was hard 😂
