Great talk, very beautifully made and well presented. Thank you for sharing. Had a question about your views on meditation being more masculine. I follow Britt Hartley as well so I've heard her say something similar, especially since a lot of female clients find they don't have time to sit and meditate for hours the way some men do, since they are caring for children and others. Curious if that's where your view of meditation stems from?
@XtineRoseElleАй бұрын
Yes, partially! I love Brit and her content. Additionally, my experience with meditation was a singular leader guiding a group through breathwork and other exercises with the guidance to clear your mind of thoughts, along with sitting in the same position. A prescriptive if you will. The guidance to clear your mind was always the main issue for me. Controlling the mind. When I discovered dream tending, imaginal journeys and the 'imaginarium' (the middle space in your mind where you can engage with images, thoughts etc) I thought it was a much better fit. I can say more, but that's the gist. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! xo

@ I've never heard of dream tending or the imaginarium before, I will have to do some research. Thanks for your prompt response 😊

I know this is an older video, but I just watched it and WOW! You did an amazing job on this! I just bought this deck a month ago because the artwork called to me, but I have not done any readings yet. Mostly due to its uniqueness and my uncertainty of how to work with it. This video absolutely helped me to begin my journey with this deck. Thank you so much!
@XtineRoseElleАй бұрын
You are so welcome! I bought the deck for the same reasons, and thought it was going to be like the RWS and soon realized it's its own thing. I'm so glad this helped you dive in to the beautiful deck! xoxo

I really enjoyed listening to this! It was fascinating to hear different ways that decks & art can stimulate our senses, even while being just printed on pieces of paper (as opposed to things we can touch, smell, taste). You gave me so much to think about with all of these different categories 😀

Thanks for this. I have been curious about this one. Does the book not say which movie/series each image is based on? I generally don't gravitate to fandom decks. I find the fandom gets in the way of reading the cards. The only fandom I have is a few Alice in Wonderland, but that story lends itself very well to tarot.
@XtineRoseElle2 ай бұрын
No! It was one of my greatest confusions about this deck, and many of the films I knew her for were not in it. Soooo. I dunno. Maybe they couldn't get the licensing for certain films? Agree, Alice and Wonderland is a great fandom! Thanks for watching!

(Now that I’ve watched the whole video) - I did get the Llewellyn Sabbat Almanac even though I don’t follow the wheel of the year in any but the loosest sense and I looked through the Samhain section. None of the recipes appealed to me. I thought about doing rock spiders and even got a set of paint markers to do that with, but never found the time. The ancestor veneration stuff intrigued me. Older generations of my mom’s family made a point to clean and decorate the family graves with flowers on Memorial Day, and my mom is the last to really embrace that until she couldn’t anymore. We are over 4 hours from the cemetery in question now, and they keep it locked up, but until about 12 years ago she and my dad would still make a trip there yearly to clean the grave site. Nowadays I always buy a wreath and have his grave decorated by a veterans group for Christmas. I have an extensively family geneology and I polished it up to generate a list of my known parents to three generations back. I thought to print it and make it be part of an ancestor shrine, and here we are with Samhain upon us and I didn’t do that either. Maybe Yule will go better. That whole season is a very rich one for me!

Ugh - I missed a few typos - my family list goes seven generations back!

Hi! In my family meals together are 100% the way it’s done. We share a common dinner every night unless someone is traveling. We generally fend for ourselves for breakfast and lunch about half the time, but if we can make it a shared meal we do. We wouldn’t do it any other way.
@XtineRoseElle2 ай бұрын
That sounds like a perfect way to go about it. I love the idea of sharing a common. meal. Something to work toward! Sending hugs! xoxo

@@XtineRoseElle I feel strongly that family should make time to share at least a meal a day. It doesn’t have to be the same food - it’s more the act of sitting together in community. But everybody does the best they can or know how. 🥰

Yes on the self doubt sometimes - I once went to a painting class with my friend and I hated my painting...got home and threw it in the trash, lol! I am for sure a perfectionist, ha ha! And yes on the primal exposure panic....I once made these cat treat jars for all of the staff at my vet office, I gave them to them and then I was so worried they would think they were stupid or crappy. So it happens. I didn't know you did these cozy chats...are they knew? I didn't see a notification that you were going live. Anyway, I love this idea!
